They won NY State title this year. My friend who coaches at South Shore lost to them in finals and raves about this player. Rivals ranks him pretty high. Hoping Rutgers takes interest in him.

Same school at which Aundre Hyatt (who is from Westchester County I believe) initially played.

For those wondering where we ranked Davis.

I don't know, according to a few people here a 5'11" PG with speed and quickness can't make it in the Big 10, even if he does have offers from Maryland and Illinois. He needs to grow a few inches before Rutgers can offer...lol

Recruiting is all about options .The B1G is mostly about tall guards who can shoot the 3 pointer and also defend against drives to the basket. A guard less than 6 ' tall better be a outstanding offensive threat because on defense he will have great difficulty because opponents will have a easy time shooting over him.

A look at the rosters and starting lineups around the league indicates that the Big 10 is NOT a league that consists of all tall PGs. Most of the starting PGs are in the 6'1 to 6'2" range......just like many leagues. Next year, Michigan, Michigan State and Illinois are bringing in PGs that are 5"10, 6'0 and 6'1. The narrative about all Big 10 teams having Tall PGs is just not accurate.

We have Geo, Caleb, Kiss, Mathis all as "tall" guards 6'4" or taller. What's the issue with bringing in one smaller quicker guard as a change of pace?

John Linehan from providence is an example of an under 6'0" guard that was defensive player of the year in the Big East. Ok it was years ago, but pretty much everyone he guarded was taller. If a smaller guard can play, I don't see an issue. Smaller guards can be very good defenders also.

Not to derail from this thread, but, the top PG target in 2020 should be Noah Farrakhan. He is a Jersey native ( Newark) that is going to school in the south, IMG. I hope Brandin Knight and Pikiell have been building a relationship with him. This is a program changing recruit.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea he was playing for Nike Team Florida. That should help me out a lot

He would be MY reason why we might have taken the sure thing in young...and not wait for mulchay (who I really like but hasn’t committed to us when he certainly can and has received lots of our art Erin) and then make this kid the number one priority for the class of 2020.

When this kid steps on campus ...he would be a frosh when baker and young are seniors.....perfect scanairo ....

This leaves us two to concentrate on Hyatt, Massoud or another big man to fill our two known shops available for 2019-2020

Stepinac is the same HS that 2018 Alan Griffin is from, and Rutgers was at least interested at some point, so I'm sure the staff has seen Davis play.

Assume it's an impossibility but 2019 PG Cole Anthony from Molloy would be a program changer.

He's the son of NBA Analyst Greg Anthony
