OT: Nova's Bridges going Pro

This was totally expected. The same is expected for Brunson. They both should be first round picks.
I'm too young to remember his playing career, but I do remember him coming to the RAC as Seattle's head coach. He led the SuperSonics to the NBA title in 1979.
NBA memories: Hawks were 56-26 in 1967-68 under Richie Guerin. Highest scoring team in the league. Beatty (21.1 ppg), and Wilkens (20.0) were joined in the starting lineup by Bill Bridges (15.6), Paul Silas (13.4) and Jumpin' Joe Caldwell (16.4). Bench was headed by Don Ohl (13.1) and Lou Hudson (12.5). Beatty, Bridges and Silas all grabbed at least 11.7 rbg. Team was upset by Bill Sharman's 43-39 Warriors in the first round. Stunning result as Warriors were minus Nate Thurmond.
Couldn't find clips of him jumping over cars, but here he is in an ABA all-star game. Acrobatic player. The ABA was a blast! Wow, John Brisker. Went missing on a trip to Uganda and was never found.
Was is a Huge Nets fan back then when they played out on Long Island. Ollie Taylor, Joe Dupree, and of course the big whopper Billy Paultz. Saw a few games when they played at the Nassau Coliseum. ABA was entertaining.
The Nets were ahead of their time. Their 1975-76 ABA championship team started five of players who turned pro early. This made them the first pro basketball champions with such a lineup. Players were Julius Erving, Larry Kenon, Billy Paultz, Brian Taylor and John Williamson. Fun team, as were the Rick Barry squads. One winter, Cardinals pitching great Bob Gibson was the color commentator until the start of spring training.
Saw several Indiana Pacer vs Nets games in the old Fairgounds Coliseum in Indy back in the day. It became along with the Kentucky Colonels a great rivalry.
Mel Daniels was a helluva player for Pacers. Billy Keller from Purdue a really tough PG. Darnell Hillman one of the great dunkers you ever saw.

The Kentucky Colonels he had a really good roster back then. Artis Gilmore, Louis Dampier, Dan Issel and Wendell Ladner was a tough SOB. I also kind of liked the obscure teams like the Miami Floridians and Pittsburgh Pipers. Warren Jabali

Dante DiVencinzo may have a game better suited for the NBA. That block on the dunk attempt by the Michigan player was pretty impression.
I would never go to a game out there — this would cause you to miss Marty Glickman’s play-by-play.
He's a guard with advanced post skills. No one really knows how to defend that anymore.
Agree with the poster above.....Shane Battier type of player in the locker room, traveling with team with good energy....future coach at College or NBA level.....10PPG....10 year + career.....NBA guards can get by at the PG spot, with smarter play vs faster/explosive play.....He's a perfect pick for Popovich and the Spurs, Quin Snyder or the Jazz or Toronto Raptors etc....
Players like Fred Van Fleet out of Wichita State are doing well as guards off the bench for the Raptors....Shabazz Napier has bounced around on teams, now settled in as the 3rd guard off bench for the Portland TrailBlazers......That's how I see Brunson.
Bridges has boom or bust written all over him....his defense is absurdly good, when he's dialed in and he takes and makes tough shots.....Knicks should steal him around 9 or 10......

Agree re Brunson. He does winning things and would thrive on a team with a winning culture. Players who go bust tend to be the ones who are asked to do too much.
Man those would be crushing blows to Villanova next season. I think Donte comes back but Spellman is an intriguing prospect whose stock I believe rose considerably throughout this year. I don't think it is high enough that he would not benefit from one more year on the main line but he could be a late first round pick.

Re Bridges and Brunson: with the Sixers picking at (probably) 10 and (definitely) 22, it is possible they land both. Would be a great situation for all involved. Philly also has picks #'s 38, 39, 56 and 60. Wow!
Btw, how about those Sixers? Scary good and way ahead of schedule. And to think they are doing this without Embiid. Excellent shot at the Eastern Conference finals.

If Ben Simmons ever learns to shoot, they'll have to outlaw him. He's dominating games without a jump shot. His passing and handle are ridiculous.
