Gary Brackett.. football smarts can mean he is already headed in the right direction before the clock starts on his "40 time"
An exception not the rule. Players that can overcome size and athleticism deficiencies and excel at the highest level are not the norm.

How about Truthers unite. Numbers don't lie and the numbers say that several recent players did not have the size, athleticism , or both to excel at the Power 5 level. The fact that very few NFL caliber players have come out of program in recent years speaks volumes.
No, Ash doesn't have vision. If he had vision, we would have won more games and had top 10 recruiting classes. Just ask Al.

Ross Douglas is an intelligent academically gifted
over achiever in it’s truest sense... I still don’t see how he was a 4**** out of high school though and don’t see him playing linebacker in the NFL at 198 lbs.

I am a pretty positive and realistic guy. Numbers are the numbers but I saw grant outrun Michigan last year. I think he can make people miss and he catches the ball on kicks , he’s gotta be valuable somewhere to someone with those skills.

Agreed. There is track speed and there is football speed. Grant has football speed. Watch him get the corner on his kick return for TD against WSU. Watch his TDs against Vaunted Michigan. No one runs him down from behind. He is just a different kinda of player. Can't teach it. Just born with it.

I spoke to one of the players at Pro Day and he was telling me that the Jets staff person at the line was micromanaging what was allowed for players starts. The main thing these players work on is how to start and this guy was making up his own rules what was allowable and not allowable. Starts that are allowed at combine were not allowed by the Jets scout. Grant was one of the players that had to change his start, basically what he practiced coming in. So he and some others got screwed.

Heard that as well and that he was adding time if he didn't like the start. It would explain why info was during the event that both Hicks and Grant were both under 4.4
And if the guy was messing with their starts, that could explain a lot of things.
