That's someone who has no idea how to measure. I probably also have 3-4" on paved surfaces, but on my snowboard, as of 5 pm I had about 5.5" and I had 3/4" this morning, which does count, so 6.25". Been snowing heavily for last 40 minutes, so probably have close to 2" more and might get to 10" or more at this rate.

He's a fellow ChemE, but from Cal, so go easy on him.

2 feet measured in 4 different spots on my deck. Not drifts because I’m in a bi-level and the deck is actually off 2nd floor. Well off ground

Neighbors mailbox is basically buried. Obviously some plowed snow adding to it as it’s next to road but gives you an idea

Just got in from shoveling - holy crap that's some dense snow, give the sleet and rain we had in the middle. As of 5 pm, we're up to 6.25": that's 5.5" of new snow (1.5" in the last hour), plus 3/4" we had in the morning. And it's coming down close to heavily right now, so hoping we can tack on another 2-4" before it's done.

Very unlikely to get to a foot and probably won't make 10" unless we get hit by the pivoting bands - just didn't get the heavy bands that people got west of us (hearing 10-18" in parts of Somerset/Hunterdon/Morris/Warren), plus we probably lost 2" of the heaviest snow when we turned to sleet/rain for 90 minutes. Oh well, still an outrageous storm, even including thundersnow. Have heard a few big cracks of branches breaking, too, so be careful out there. ...

Got 1.5" in the last hour, so we're up to 7.75" for the storm (about 7" on the ground, plus the 3/4" we had this morning. And still coming down. Can we get another hour out of this and get to 9"? Maybe.

I'd say 2" to maybe 3" of some type of slushy snow water infused sh*t. Which I'm sure by morning will be to 2" to 3" of crunchy ice. It's still coming down so that should add a couple hundred more pounds of crap to slosh around tomorrow morning.

It's amazing what just a little elevation does to the totals. I just looked it up, and I'm at 57m elevation in Neshanic and got 14-14.5".

The corner of Amwell and 206 is 28m elevation, and the corner of Amwell and Main St. in Milltown is 17m. Up Zion Rd into Sourland Mountain is over 170m elevation.

Keep in mind there's a chance of *another* storm on Monday or so. I hope the snow from this storm melts before then. I would think that temperatures of 45 or so would allow for melting without much flooding except in poor drainage areas.

Just went out deep into my backyard here in Neshanic (at the base of Sourland Mountain), and I measured just over 14" in a couple of places.

I'm in the southland district of east amwell on rocktown hill. Those numbers for ringoes and ea are so much lower than this small elevation. Emergancy vehicles everywhere including Elizabethtown gas who reported a small gas leak in area. Just checked my meter and said I have a small leak but not to worry as it is so small he'll be back in the spring to replace my meter system...lol. Ok.

Yep. Just lost power myself. It had happened a couple times through out the day but came back within a minute or two. I’m afraid this could be for a while. Not good. No power and can’t go anywhere

Just came in from snowblowing the front, funny the way it drifted. Closer to the garage like 6 inches further away just a couple, never have had that happen before usually it's pretty even all across or at least not that much of a gradient.

Very heavy snow but no issues with blower and using silicone spray on it. Some clumping in chute from time to time but just scooped it out and kept going. Helped neighbor who was having issues with his blower. Streets still not plowed I'm wondering if road is even reachable reading about all the trees down in SB and the main arteries being impassable.

This is from last night. Lee Goldberg mentioned that storm but said something along the lines of "you guys will like the track of that one" implying to me that hopefully it won't be near us. Don't know if anything has changed since then.

2 of the models shifted it north at one point earlier today. I wouldn’t worry about it either way until this storm completely clears as I’m sure how it plays out has an effect on the atmosphere
