if he could play that type of efficient game where he plays under control with good shot selection hes a very good player. Hope he plays like that tonight
Agreed. He was under control and didn't try to do too much offensively which meant he was usually in the right position. He was SPECTACULAR on D. I give Freeman crap, but huge game for him and I couldn't be happier.if he could play that type of efficient game where he plays under control with good shot selection hes a very good player. Looks like he gave an interview and said Coach P just asked him to give a high energy defensive effort.
He put us on his back last night when we were losing 17-3. He set the tone until Geo and Corey got rolling.
Freeman was a monster on D and the boards last night, as he was in first tourney game against Minny. Makes one wonder what might have been this season if Freeman brought this level of his game more during regular season. Man if we didn't blow the Stony and Hartford games we're talking NIT....Agreed. I caught some of the post-game stuff BTN put on Twitter. Looks like he gave an interview and said Coach P just asked him to give a high energy defensive effort.
I disagree that the three was ill advised. A few times this year he has pump faked from outside the circle and has gotten all the way to the rIm. This is only possible because the people guarding him know that he may shoot from out there occasionally. He may hit only 17% of the shots, to Sanders and Williams 22 or 24%, but it does open things up for him.Outside of hisnill advised 3, he was incredible. Especially on the defensive end. Between the steals, altered shots, and rebounding, it may have been his best game in an RU uniform.
