Well I notice a lot of people on this board don't watch film and are quick to blame coaches. I started watching film to understand what's going on down on the field. I started watching after freakin' Manziel went all Brett Farve on us in 2012 because I couldn't believe this guy was shredding the best defense in the country. I encourage everybody to do the same. Understand your teams weakenes that other teams will exploit. Like for instance, no. 37 on D for Rutgers, when your top CB went down no. 10 , it was a feast for a lot of teams.

You may be my favorite poster on here. Do you frequent other sites and offer insight and optimism to them as well?

85-90% of people on the free board are absolutely clueless on all things football related.

The depth at CB is quite thin. We have a few safeties with experience, but it doesn't seem they have the ability to play CB. The freshmen we brought in last year look to be on the smaller side, so a redshirt year was inevitable (is Jones a CB?). We really need play up the potential for early playing time to these recruits.

Don't forget we have Trey Avery this year. CB depth is much improved this year. Safety is another story...

Can you be a little more concrete, like a link to one of the game films? Are there actual discussions about what the coverage was, what the pre-snap reads should have been, what the corner did right/wrong? Or just replays of the game or the big plays?

First if you are just watching TV replays than you don't know any more than we do. I also doubt you are finding current coaches game film anywhere.
If Coach Ash is putting the All-22 view out there for all to see he should be fired with cause.

While I do t break down film after each game, I look at as many clips as I can find. There were a lot of things to blame that casual fans could not see.

And 37 was a walk-on transfer. Needed his help when we were down two safeties and a few corners. That was to be expected.

Most people do not even understand how to watch film, and honestly most people barely understand football.

What are you talking about? Here is a recent Scarlet Nation film watch party. What are they doing wrong?

And to disprove your second point, here is a perfectly executed run pass option.
