this...yes the Sanders call was bad but in general this game has been even...they will always miss some either way...its not the reason RU is losing if people are honest and have been paying attention
It's not why we're losing, but it has been bad this game. Almost officiating on the level of a women's basketball game

if I were Pike I would be more ticked off about the dreadful offense and its execution

Yeah except I can chew gum and walk at the same time.

I can say that we are not giving enough effort and the referees are bad. Not sure why you guys who always think that the universe is completely balanced and equal and every referee is perfect can't get that through your thick skulls ;)

Lol

They've been playing really physical on geo all game, and taking him out of his rhythm. Of course with all that physical defense, he hasn't been fouled once.

lets give credit to Michigan defense though and to Rutgers defense...its ugly on both parts, is anyone surprise by this today...RU at least has kept within striking distance throughout. This is a borderline top 25 but likely NCAA team on their home court...overall not a bad effort despite our defeciencies which we already know about

I can’t stand games officiating this way. Even if there are cheap calls against Umich. You can’t call that many soft calls in a game. What joke today was.

I’m sorry, but did they really just call that on Geo? You could have called that on Umich on every possession

Pike like Ash sometimes seems way too nice. Time to get in refs’ faces for awful calls.
I agree. I remember a play against Michigan State where Izzo went up to the ref all calm saying "it was a good call, it was a good call" and then proceeded to scream his head off at him.

This is what I've been saying since the beginning of the game. And why I'm so frustrated. They've been letting the Michigan guards do that to us the entire game. They took Corey and Geo out of rhythm very early.

Pikiell is in the ear of the officials all game. He doesn't need to make a show of it and get T'd up and hurt the team because we are not good enough to overcome that. Plus, Pikiell isn't Izzo. Officials are not going to give a Steve Pikiell as much rope as a Tom Izzo. Pikiell complained to the league office after MSU. I'm sure he is getting his point across.

oh well . Refs sucked but thats not why we lost.

UM has 5 guys on the court seemingly at all times that can make shots from anywhere on the court. You have to score more than 60 points to beat a team like this. We have 45 with less than 2 left.

Lack of offensive options just will perpetually hinder us from being good.

that's coaches job. right in front of him....I would have lost my crap on that one. he has to protect his team...

I think our coach does a really good job balancing not yelling every time but giving it to them when needed. It will take time. But it is very frustrating. And it's definitely not the reason we lost, but that's not the point.

At that point in the game, getting T'd up would not have hurt the team. Sometimes it's worth getting a T to show the players you're going to battle for them.

That time out was message to refs too.

Sometimes you have to let Refs know will not tolerate.

Refs didn't lose us the game. They took Sanders and Gio right out of the game. They defended and got open shots. We defended and were forced to go 1 on 1.

Its no accident that Rutgers has only won 1 league game on the road since joining the B1G.

We still haven't lost a Big Ten game that we either should have won or was a tossup (40% or more chance to win) going in. Let's keep that up against Nebraska (49% chance to win on KenPom).

Checked the score and glad I enjoyed lunch instead ... 0 for 1 today, but still have wrestling and Women’s BB
