"(Rutgers) could be No. 1 in the country, we're still going to beat them," Delgado told reporters after Seton Hall's previous game. "I'm coming with the mindset that we're not losing this game.

"That's how I feel, that's how I'm always going to feel. If I stay another year here, I'm going to still beat them, too. That's how I feel. They were disrespecting us last year with a lot of stuff, but we're always tough here at home."

The mind(set) is a terrible thing to waste

They did a lot of trash talking but could not back it up.
Seton Hall choked for the last ten minutes. They deserved to lose. They are not a top 25 team except in their own imaginations.

SHU didn't have a field goal the last 6-odd minutes. RU had a 13-0 run to come from 9 down, and then SHU hit a couple of free throws. They just looked rattled on TV, disorganized, and their coach could do nothing to wake them up. The RAC was as intimidating as it used to be a decade ago when GW was here. You guys have to bring it when the B1G teams come in; the RAC could tip the balance in more than one game this season.

His offensive game is terrible. Couple times was one on one with back to basket and passed out pretty quick. Has no offensive game besides putbacks, garbage buckets, etc. First half had a wide open jumper from free throw line don't think he hit the rim.

If I am SHU, who are very chippy and thuggery, better reign it in, or they are not getting past first round.

They are talented and will learn from this but we schooled them and we did not play perfect. We out intensified them. Just a wonderful signature win in the historic RAC!!!

We did a real good job on him, but he is still a great player. I've watched SHU play about five or six times in the last year, and every game one of their players gets into someone's face. Really good coaches stop that crap pretty fast. They look like a bunch of thugs.

Put Doorson The Dutchman on him and he couldn't do jack!!!

I think switching up works better on him. He's a load, and guarding him 1 on 1 all game wears your guy out too. Switching up with multiple players keeps your guys fresh. We just haven't had the players to do that until now. Shaq, Duke and Candido did a nice job today. Not sure if anyone else was on him.

Delgado did purposely walk into the Knight before the game. Also at one point he walked into one of our guys when he was on the foul line. He was crying to the refs much of the game. Also Rodriguez once again tried to instigate a fight during the game. It seems like almost every game this guy does the same thing. he is a loose cannon. it is no wonder that Willard often has to sit him down. Nelson also made a chippy foul on Omoruyi with 3 seconds left. SHU plays to intimidate the opponent but we owned the last 6 minutes and out toughed them by out scoring SHU 18-2 to end the game.

I have no idea why Willard slowed the tempo down in the half court

Their faster motion offense was much more effective than the “hero” ball they started to do in the last 12-14 minutes....even when it was working

And it was tiring us out

I thought I saw maybe Omoruyi rotate to guard him a few times as well. All of them did a great job bodying up on Delgado.

Pikiell went small the last 6 minutes. Omoruyi covered Delgado the last 6 minutes, and was fantastic on him, though helped with Freeman doubling when Delgado got too low in the post. Omoruyi was physical, and used great defensive footwork as well, and caused Delgado to turn the ball over a couple of times.

Doorson also defended Delgado decently. Sa was okay against Delgado. Doucore was overmatched in this game. he will have better games.
