There was the blitz y’all wanted. Put us in a mismatch. Damn.
So the blitz design was to have a DE cover a RB? And Davis too boot? Well that's just a completely ****** design. Whoever came up with that should have his head examined. What's next up Joseph Day covering a TE?

Watch the replays after every play.

Getting killed up front. Worn out. Tired. Nothing to do with Neumann.

We knew going in that Rutgers is physically outmatched. Trying to play them straight up is 1000% on the D coordinator. No creativity on D.

I think he's sticking with his bend but don't break philosophy. On some of these plays though not sure it would make a difference because the ball is out pretty quickly.

On his radio show this week, Ash specifically said "bend but don't break
" isn't our philosophy. I was encouraged by that.

Might be worried about Michigan talent and keeping it low-risk?

Few big calls didn't go out way, but our OLine has also been a sieve on pass plays. Worst time for a dud punt, too.

Grant should have taken it to the house and so should have Hester. instead down 21-7

Hester needs to make that play. We don't. They do.
Yep. We need to make them pay for their mistakes, and they don't make many.

We also need to capitalize on the turnovers we do get. Against Purdue & today, we get a pick, then go 3 and out. Frustrating. Next year I guess.

D was great for a quarter and a half. New QB is killing us. Plus fact our offense can’t give the D a sustained rest

I am really really really really really really upset. We will have no chance if this is the way games are going to be officiated. Complete garbage. That hold turned a 15 yard gain into a first and 20.

I'm not sure why they are talking up the freshman 4 star QB so much. I mean isn't every QB they get a 4 star? The guy has played two drives and completed 5 passes with 1 TD. And everyone at BTN is fawning over the guy.

game over basically
I agree. I think it's going to be tough now. Low 20s was my upper bounds of what we could score and it would take a handful of big plays leading to points. Well they're at 21 now and now they actually have a qb that can make throws so they might not have to rely so heavily on the run against us with a somewhat complimentary/competent passing game.

If Rescigno hits a wide open Grant on that fly route it's a different ball game. If Hester picks that off we have the ball in Michigan territory by the time he gets run down, and Michigan doesn't score that last TD. We have such little margin of error that those plays have to be made. When we are called for a penalty on offense, our conversion rate is close to zero. Not sure what it will take, but one thing is obvious and it's that we have to make all the plays when they're there to be made. Grant made one, but that was our one.

Michigan was gashing us on the run from the get go. Nothing to do with being tired. 168 rushing yards in the first half (-12 from O'Korn) We're not down 21-7 because of the new QB. It's because we can't stop the run.

The new QB is nicknamed Tom Brady...he is the best QB ever at Michigan. Just hand him the Heisman and induct him into the Hall of Fame.

They'll call it even against the lesser teams in the B1G. But it's a myth that name teams play cleaner games. If we're getting called for what Miaetti did then Michigan should have at least two holding calls. Such a shame that they have give the better teams the added benefit of doubt.

we bend and break if Michigan makes the catches... the Purdue game is not the formula
for winning now.....they dropped the passes

Michigan looks like they will slowly pound us, they probably cover.....would love to be wrong... me thinks this one is over

Hester INT would've changed the entire game.
Don't disagree the outlook would be different but then gotta make the play. Harris has done a nice job of that most of the time when the chance presents itself. Hester has had some drops this year with INT chances.

Point is gotta come through consistently if the chance is there. Can't be aww man "if this if that, etc.." Nike slogan..Just do it.
