Gio just isn’t on par when it comes to starting big ten quarterbacks. His throwing just isn’t there.

When does a QB change happen?
2nd series in half?
I wish they had a 10 play set rehearsed with Lewis and start the half with it for change of pace.....play some hurry up

Can we officially put to rest that Gio is a savior. Our QB situation defines PATHETIC
Never saw him as a savior just likely the best option out of a lot not so good options.

I don't follow recruiting at all but we've had Zach Allen and Kyle Bolin as grad transfers. No better options out there or do schools ever look down to the lower levels whether it be G5 or even non FBS?

I hate Matt Millen, but I agree with him that Gio dropping back in the pocket is bad football. He throws better on the run and gives him the option to find a lane to run.

Maybe during the half, we should register the offense on Tinder so at least they can get a fugly chick

Let's look at some halftime stats:

Passing - 4/9 31yards
Rushing - 19 for 109 yards 5.7y/carry
If you remove the 74 yard run: 18 for 35 yards 1.9y/carry

Total yards - 140

TOP - 13:18 (Purdue has 16:42)

Someone remind why we have to be a run dominant team?
What exactly would be the risk to passing at least equally as often as we run?

Nice defense.

Coaching painful.

Play execution painful.

It
was at this point in the Flood era that I couldn't wait for him to be gone. Same now for Ash. We will have at least 2 1/2 years more of this, then start from scratch again. Depressing.

This staff still hasa lot learn
i'm amazed that both of you think RU was actually running a 2 minute drill. They were moving fast, but the goal was to run out the clock. Took a time out once the clock was down. Not sure what you all are complaining about on that right there.

We've got the lead so let's be at least a little bit optimistic. Perhaps we'll script some plays for our first possession of the second half, and score then. Or perhaps the defense can score. However poorly our offense is operating, our defense has been up to the challenge so far.

This is last year all over again. GIO was good in game one, and banged up hes not as good. I think he is more injured than everyone is letting on, hence a different game plan

If I wasn't watching the game and only read this board, I would think we were losing 28-7, not winning 7-3. Get a grip, guys, we've got a lead at halftime.
