I'm leaning towards 3pm as an arrival time.
Menu is still being decided upon. Based mostly on when we plan on arriving and how many will be there "early" vs "late" arrivals.
Entire group will be in the stadium before kickoff, as always.

All of this is highly dependent upon what occurs with the remnants of Harvey.

3. Will you be in side for the kick-off?
1. Noon.
2. No Friday night tailgate as we will be watching a football game Friday night. However, our Friday DAY tailgate will consist of brunch, a couple more meals, new custom tailgate flags, lots of games, lots of throwing footballs, frisbees, etc., hopefully catching up with a lot of old friends, visiting a couple of other tailgates, lots of cold beer, etc., etc., etc.
3. We will be in for pre-game in order to see how the band looks under the new band director!

Having a hard time coming up with a Washington themed main course. All I can find is apples and seafood. Anything else worth eating out there?

i think seafood is appropriate, and it also jives with our own 'shore' publicity theme for this game.

clams and crab leg apps with salmon main course

Will be there in Blue around 3 pm. Since it's a Jersey Shore theme, we have come up with cheese steaks, steamers, and funnel cakes...with much more to be added. I wanted to bake a giant boardwalk pizza, but we don't have the capability to do so. I have amassed a nice plethora of beers from my travels this summer and will have them chilling in a nice ice bath.

Rainier cherries are awesome and gorgeous. Not sure that helps a tailgate much.

This might help a bit, though mostly foods from specific eateries, not really official state/city stuff.

If not seafood, I'd just go with WA craft beer and coffee and eat whatever you want.

Brats fried in beer, sour kraut, onions and served with a sourdough roll and brown mustard used to be a biggy at UW games due to all the people with Scandinavian heritage in that area. Seafood is the other biggy ... Pacific salmon, halibut, clams, Dungenous crab and oysters ...no scurvy Atlantic salmon and/or farmed fish and no cod.

Wish I was gonna be there but have my Rutgers tailgate flag set up in my backyard here in WA. Had some UW friends over a couple weeks ago who will be in NJ for the game. I think someone should use the War before the Shore theme:

Crab cake cook off - Dungeness vs. Blue Claws (WA may have the edge here)
Fish - Grilled salmon vs fried flounder/fluke
Beer - Exit 9 vs. Red Hook
Sausage - Brats vs. some nice homemade Italian sausage from one of the local shops (though IMO not even close with this one)
Hot Dogs - Seattle Dog (has cream cheese, ugh) vs a NJ chili dog (again no competition)
Yakima fruit/corn vs. NJ fruit/corn (NJ will win the peaches, corn, and of course tomatoes)

Not going to suggest pizza - nothing here comes close to NJ.

Will be arriving in Blue Lot at 8 am (lots of set-up this week)

To go along with the War Before the Shore theme, we are bringing the menu of one of our favorite shore bars to the Blue Lot (hint, it includes lobster) as well as a bunch of sand to make a temporary beach to sun yourselves on.

I'll probably watch the game on the tv outside while I pack up.

No way Jersey wins in the peaches dept. Washington has excellent peaches, cherries and apples.

I'm southern so I have strong opinions about peaches. I'd put Jersey peaches up against WA peaches any day of the week. Just picked a few cresthaven and Jerseyqueen peaches at Eastmont Orchard in Colts Neck, NJ. They're sweet juicy bites of heaven.

This year has been a great year for Jersey peaches. Get out and pick some! Nothing better than a tree-ripened peach at the end of summer.

Speaking of peach season ... discovered peach milkshakes not long ago.

Peaches aren't among my favorite fruits and absolutely hate peach flavoring (iced tea, juice, candy, whatever), but a milkshake with vanilla ice cream and farm fresh peaches is delicious. Big recommend.

I've had peaches from NJ, Georgia, WA, and Cali. I will give Georgia its due they were probably the best I've had but Jersey was not far behind. Washington peaches are good but not better than Jersey.....definitely better than Cali. Apples and cherries, yes, WA takes the crown....especially Rainier cherries.

Georgia peaches were the only ones I had that were better than Jersey peaches.....as a kid in NJ we used to down to Holmdel for pick you own peaches. My moms friend used to make a peach cake that was amazing come late summer in NJ. Good memories!

I won't be tailgating. The other two people in my ticket group are not going due to work time off being denied. I'll probably get a sammich from Hogback, and likely head home after the new band director delivers show #1.

1. 2:15 PM - Yellow Lot
2. Fine meats and cheeses washed down with home brew
3. Yes

A Pacific Northwest/New Orleans Seafood Gumbo would be great but I didn't think of that until reading this thread. I've already got the ball rolling on the other stuff. Maybe I'll do that for Michigan State when its colder.

I miss the Hogback. We are getting to yellow around 9. My contribution will be homemade sangria with fruit. Not sure about the rest of the menu.
