For all you ped st creeps ( not the ones that accept Penn St covered up for a child molester and has had some other horrible deeds to account for)
If you think having a winning football program is more valuable than a child's safety: please live in the Happy Valley area and keep away from where normal people live. No one needs someone like you near their children.

As for the nit creeps defending Penn State's actions by pointing out Rutgers faults , it's not close to being the same way handled by RU . Rutgers takes swift action and doesn't try to whitewash what happened.
Just remember: some of the harshest critics of those actions are/were Rutgers fans, not like the PSU creeps ( again not including good and decent Penn St that are horrified and disgusted a Penn St employee might have advised destroying evidence) ,who make excuses, defend the crimes by acting like other schools have the same problem.
Some problems might be similar, but the way some nit creeps act in defending Penn St crimes are fare from the way RU fans criticize the crimes and the criminals involved

so he flipped, but football isn't the issue here and whenever Penn St is at fault in the real world some creep defends Penn St by trying to change the subject to a football related issue that had PSU looking good.
Shame some penn st creeps put penn st football over criminal acts .

edit: my observation proved true very quickly

It's mind boggling how these kids and their parents continue to be blinded on what went on there.

Yet, they are bringing in their best class ever after all this filth continues to go on at that campus.

Either Franklin is the best recruiter in the entire country or they are joining the SEC in the way they recruit players ( bag men ). In my opinion Franklin learned how to beat the system while coaching at Vandy. He learned how the SEC goes about doing business in the recruiting world. Thus, using that same tactic at Ped st

Link the criminal acts, SpEd.
just the issue this thread's about is enough, but probably you and those like you won't admit the truth about any crime related to Penn St .You will just try to insult your way out of admitting Penn St had a history of covering up criminal acts.
The issue raised in this thread proves it still's happening.,so the need to list the criminal acts , like you asked for, isn't nessary.
Remember Penn St has been forced to pay for sexual abuse claims since the 70s, covering up for a child molester in their employ.
Now this: "Penn State football's head athletic trainer may have instructed former Beta Theta Pi members to delete GroupMe messages following Tim Piazza's death. Seems like after one cover-up at Penn St another one is suggest by a Penn St employee .

Sorry dude!

What went on up there has never been done before.

So yes........the stigma on that cesspool of a program will remain for a lifetime. Rightfully so!

Only a lunatic or someone taking payoffs would allow their sons to go to a school that will go down as committing the worst cover up in sports history. Especially, when there are sooooooooo many better options out there for student athletes.

Franklin learned how the SEC does business with recruiting. Using the bag man or through 3rd party outlets ( 2nd mile perhaps ) or like the SEC teams use through churches.

I have to think that's the only way they can recruit the way the have.

If that program allowed child rape to happen and kept it under the rug for decades. I believe they would be very willing to find a way to pay players to go there. Nobody should be surprised what that program will do to keep their football team competitive after what happened there.

Where's the confusion. There are many parents/families who value winning football games above all else. They are happy to send their football playing sons to places like Penn State where those values are affirmed and rewarded regardless of the costs involved. That's exactly what happened in the Sandusky case and something similar is likely to happen at Penn State again given that the football above all else culture has survived and has a crazy new leader.

...it's why I don't think I'd ever support either of my kids wanting to go to PSU, UNC or Baylor. In my opinion it's obvious the culture of those schools is sports above everything else, even human dignity and in some cases life itself (*coughBaylorcough*). My best friend is a Rutgers alum and if he posted on here would likely be labeled a 'negatiod'. We grew up respecting/ rooting for PSU prior to attending Rutgers (didn't want to go to school in a rural setting). He can be more critical of Rutgers than some of the visiting posters here...but after everything has settled out at PSU, he continues to say, "I wouldn't send my kids there. Just look at how the leadership of that school acted. Look at who they just put on their Board of Trustees. Their mindset, their priorities are completely out of order."

It's not 'the coach'; again you're missing the point. It's the quasi-remorseless, victim-blaming, projective mentality. It's a mindset. What happened at PSU, Baylor and UNC were all fairly different, but the mentality in my opinion was the same- 'sports are more important than basic morality, human value and life'. I'm a HUGE sports/ football fan and think they offer so much, so it's not like I'm anti-athletics...but they shouldn't be above basic responsibility and ethics.

...there is no wrong answer here, but I have a daughter too though she's still in grade school yet. Seeing how the school responded towards a number of women who may have been victims of serious crimes, would you be comfortable with your daughter going to Waco? I wouldn't. Ultimately a big part of the decision would be up to my kid but I would express my concern.

Probably because Penn State does a great job of presenting the Football Above All Else culture to like minded recruits and their families.
They obviously don't care about reports like the following:

gosh...this is such a great thread....but i'll focus on this post

so...you wouldn't send your daughter to Waco because of the violent crimes against women performed by the football players.....I get that.

but you wouldn't send your daughter (or son) to PSU because Jerry (who is now in jail) was molesting children who he met through his charity?

well wait...maybe you're concerned about the administrators.....well, they're gone.

maybe you're worried about Joe Paterno....as anyone should be of course (clearly the most heinous man on the planet...maybe a notch below Hitler, Bundy, Dahmer, David Koresh, etc)....well, he's dead....phew!....the world wasn't safe till such evil was ousted from the earth

who's left?.....ohhh, the fans...lol

sorry, I digress....carry on.

oh, don't forget...keep putting money on that collection plate at church....god bless:)

You left out the latest ( attempted) cover up that was suggest by an PSU advisor when a fraternity hazing went to far and a young man died.
Seems like Penn St's leadership, big and small positions refuse to lead Penn St students properly by putting Penn St's image ahead of doing things the right way.
With the advice the PSU athletic trainer and live-in fraternity gave to fraternity members about destroying evidence of discussing an event that led to a young man's death destroy possible evidence , it would be wise for any parent to look at the way Penn St employees put their employer's image ahead of everything else, including the cause of a student's death when deciding if their child would be properly advised and what kind of protection they can expect while students at PSU..

As for :"who's left?.....ohhh, the fans...lol"
Seeing your reply, you're probably one of the fanbase that would condone putting Penn St's image over what others know is the right way to behave when young lives are involved.

Your school just put Jay Paterno on its Board of Trustees/ Governors. Look at your post- indignant, mocking and tone-deaf. I doubt you're the only one who displays this, and in my opinion as long as that mentality is prevalent, it's indicative of my point. I'm not saying every PSU alum/ supporter needs to beat themselves up and grovel for forgiveness, but maybe, just maybe show an ounce of humility, compassion and respect. Maybe, just maybe other points of view have merit even if you don't like them. I never claimed to be some high-ranking authority on any of this, never claimed to be 'better' than anyone, but maybe I digress and could just as easily say, 'please, do tell us more about how your program has *heroically overcome the slings and arrows*...'

It's a Penn St issue because Tim Bream, a Penn State Athletics employee (the Director of Athletic Training Services/Head Football Athletic Trainer) was involved.
I'm sure you'll come up with another reason to claim Penn St is faultless and tries to do everything it can to promote a safe environment while making sure its employees are in a position to give Penn St students the best possible advice ( to preserve Penn St's image) .

As for your saying:"..sure...let's go with probably."
Think I should change that to most likely because that's the way you seem to be . Ignoring a Penn St employee's involvement in order to say :"not sure that's a Penn State issue." is a sure sign you put Penn St's image to the public over the truth.
That's the same sick type of defense the Cult puts up when another issue concerning Penn St's culpability is raised

Fortunately 40k+ main campus enrollees per year and their families would disagree with ya (brainwashed by the cult, clearly), but hey....ya can't win over everyone

Creep State.....

Dec 18 2013

DON'T ATTEND THIS SCHOOL! ....This school's biggest sell is partying, and football. They are closed-minded, and NOT at all kind to minorities, and they're homophobes. ...White students (unapologetically) wore "blackface" and KKK costumes for Halloween (see link below). This upset many minority students, and the school's only response was an email. Asians are openly made fun of, and forget it if you're gay or lesbian. Please, please, please stay away from this school! Especially if you're a woman who does not enjoy the prospect of being date raped, and no one caring after you report the rapist.
