This has been a great RU day....we get a preferred regional target that has upside and will fit within the team concept...he'll have a major chip on his shoulder to prove he belongs at this level and help improve RU for the future....we now have 2 very solid 2018 recruits and more coming....

This is the kind of kid we see at other schools and we have asked about in the past, "why can't we get this kind of kid to play at Rutgers?" Well, get what folks, we now have that kind of kid at Rutgers. Great job by Coach and company. And with Mathis holding up his commitment, this is a very good day for Rutgers.

I think he means it was a clean recruitment. But when your 30 offers are Rutgers, Georgetown + schools like Elon, Drake, Central Arkansas, Presbyterian & other Low and Mid Majors; it typically is a clean recruitment.

Not sure where he gets off the charts athleticism but that's me.

Cali is not the best source on basketball. Lacrosse, certainly. B-ball though, not his sport. After all, he didn't know who Angel Delgado was last year.
