PS- saw Will Hill in a CFL game recently. Talented kid, but screwed up some opportunities. Maybe he makes it back to the NFL?

Because like most HS HCs, he's an idiot. He has a kid with NFL Draft pick potential as his HS QB, and this guy sticks with the veer like it's 1972. I don't blame the kid for leaving so he could be developed properly.

Winner. Many HS coaches think they are Bill Belichek (or any other top coach in a particular sport) and really know little. Here is an example. My daughter who has a world of speed was 41-43 in stolen bases her last club softball season. The following spring for her high school team, she was 0-1. Coach ran her first game, she got thrown out and never ran her again. High school all star game after the season, the coach of her team knew her for years. First time up she singles. Coach as her steal 2nd and 3rd. You can't make this stuff up. Her high school coach fancies himself as some top flight softball coach because he has had only 1 losing season in his career.

I guess you've never seen Sitkowsi throw. Wimbush may be the better all round QB w more athleticism, and better coachING at SPP vs OB,. but Sitkowsi has the better arm.
Heck, Jon Lewis probably has a stronger arm than Wimbush.

Their next 2 QBs at IMG are 2 stars with zero offers. They also have 10 total QBs on their roster, w a Varsity A and Varsity B team. Sitkowski is their 'Star QB' just like Shea Patterson was 2 years ago., Sitkowski will start every game there. Then just like Sitkowski , they will go out and recruit another 4 star for 2019.

But you are right about stockpiling talent.

And if you're going to compare a kid from Old abridge HS to Dan Marino, the burden of proof is on you.

My comparison to Marino is he is a 1 skill QB, an incredible , powerful arm, very accurate, with a polished windup and motion that you very rarely see on the HS level. The proof is his film. The proof is Mark Richt and many other big time Head Coaches drooling over him. I"ve watched NJ High School football closely for decades and IMO, Sitkowski has the best pure arm I've ever seen.
Now he can't run like others, but that's not what Miami will ask him to do. They will protect him, and let him air it out.

That was the elite 11 showing in which he failed to be invited to the Finals? That one? The same event that Wimbush finished 10th and Dilfer said he had the strongest arm at the event?

And you're saying that the kid has a better HS a than Chris Simms? A kid who was rated the #1 overall quarterback in the class his year?

Putting a junior in HS in the same sentence with Dan Marino is absurd. Regardless of how many hundreds of decades of football you may have watched. The only comparison is that they are both inhabitants of earth.

I know his mother fairly well, and I can tell you that he definitely comes from a good family that cares quite a bit about education.

The days when kids dreamed of playing for their home town schools and representing their communities on the playing field are over.. We live in the era of athletes earning millions and the kids now are trying to get to the big bucks as fast as they can. If that means transferring to a parochial or an out of state academy, so be it. I really can't blame these kids, especially the qbs for leaving, there is too much at stake.

Defense was the same: Cover 2 zone, Cover 2 man, prevent, and goal line.
