I just want to know why the tears from Cilic. A 6' 6" bearded man crying like a child on network television because he was getting his *** handed to him by a superior player.

These monster serves have destroyed tennis players. You see, once an opposing player is able to return a serve it comes down to real tennis and most of these guys are not tennis players, they're big servers and nothing more. Does Andy Roddick come to mind?

I think he was injured and the magnitude of it all brought him to tears. These guys put so much into it.

He would have likely lost anyway, but you want to be at your best in a final.

He is a big dude. His serve volley game on grass are his best chances of winning. His groundstrokes are pretty good for a guy that size, but he isn't all of a sudden going to during into Agassi. Just as Agassi's volley game was always suspect.

Which gets back to Roger. The blend of everything. The perfect tennis player.

So now you are saying 1980 to 1984 are no longer considered to be in the 80s?? . . . .
Ah, very sane indeed. And helpful. Following the arrow-straight logic of your thinking, Federer played during the Sampras era, and vice versa. Federer started playing in the 90s when Sampras dominated. The 90s were in the 90s. Federer later knocked Sampras out of Wimbledon, Sampras's best major, when Federer was 20 and Sampras 30. Sampras was playing well, seeking his 5th straight Wimbledon, and won the US Open the very next year. So Sampras is in.

Let me know if you don't take Laver and Rosewell. Maybe we will.

And yet none of of you idiots have posted a list of the top 10 guaranteed HOF tennis player of the post Sampras era. And none of you clowns can explain why your famed sport is dying in attendance and viewer ship.
Instead you use words and phrases that are completely inappropriate for this board or in real life. What a bunch of scumbags

Why am I? Cali and his friends can't answer simple questions so they resort to phrases and words that are completely demeaning to many young children that are beautiful kids that have a condition that has become an epidemic in the US.
They think its ok and funny to use such words because their defense of an argument has no standing. Creeps and scumbags

You haven't asked one simple question. You've made a lot of incorrect statements though.

Listen jackass Ive posted the same question several times. Either your reading skills are way below par or you already know that the answer destroys you feable argument.
Either way your use of s disgusting phrase makes any of your arguements completely indefensible. That fact you defended those words shows what a deplorable human you are.

[Man stares agape and uncomfortably takes in what he is seeing and hearing inside the large brightly lit room on the other side of the door marked "Caution: Medicated Population," quietly closes the door again so as not to draw attention to himself, and tip toes back down the hall to the elevator and out of the building where he wipes a bead of sweat from his brow and chastises himself for ever entering that building in the first place. He vows never to return, drives home, and stands inside a warm shower until the images fade and the shaking stops.]

I do watch Tennis and believe it or not I have played tennis (on occasion). I've been watching tennis on and off since 1978 and in my opinion the game has changed. In my humble opinion it's become a power game, where a well placed 140mph serve makes it near impossible for a return. There are 3 or 4 players that are capable of returning theses serves and once a serve is returned it all comes down to TENNIS. Why has Serena William's been so successful? Because her serve is not returnable and the pace on her ground strokes is stifling. The players of yesteryear made headlines when they would serve a 100 mph plus serve today they're approaching 160mph. However the players from the 70's & 80's were hungry, they came to play and win. With today's guaranteed purses the effort is questionable.

You seem really angry in addition to knowing nothing about tennis. Maybe this threads not for you, Champ.

What the heck are you even blabbering about....

Why are we naming 10 "Guaranteed" HOF players again?? No one can guarantee some of these active players but I can give you a list. Easy for you to say "Guaranteed" when some on the bubble guys from the 80s made it.

Federer, Murray, Nadal, Djokovich, Wawrinka, Hewitt, Safin

Players with Potential: Cilic, Del Potro, Roddick,

Then there's players who we don't know will have great careers. Like Raonic and Nishikori

You can make a good argument the 80s had some depth but I just don't see an argument for Federer not being the best ever and the top players in this era can take on any in history

The players all call Roger the best. It's not even debatable. It's the one question in sport that is settled.

I am thinking White Bus either doesn't know what he is talking about or Fed stiffed him on autograph. Maybe both.
