2019 visitors??

It seems like basketball commits seem to wait a lot longer than football. I'm guessing these 2019 visits are just very preliminary. Does anyone commit that early?

Almost no one, and if they do it usually doesn't stick.

Austin Rivers comes to mind.

But it's important to get the youngins on campus as early as possible to further build that relationship. Especially since they've only been able to call/text the 2019 class since June 15.

Figured that. I think the process is reselling Rutgers basketball to younger kids who weren't thinking about Rutgers as even a possibility through their highschool years. Its a different program now with a great future but we haven't turned the corner on the record front as of yet. It's still early in the rebuild

Probably not much reselling. There's a good chance that the previous staff wasn't even mailing the recruitment questionnaire or school literature to these kids as 9th graders

I'd rather these kids first contact be with this staff honestly. I really think the sky is the limit for kids Pikiell and company has some years to recruit and then a track record of success after he turns this program around
