He seems like a good prospect since he had over 11 offers from P5 schools.
One of the reasons he may have chosen Pitt was because he will reconnect with his HS team mate Nick Patti (QB) who is also coming to Pitt.
Rutgers is a good school who is experiencing some growing pains (W-L record) but will improve ..
HAIL TO PITT!!!!
Hey, hey, our Tor Registering PUS fan comes, and goes, once again!Ped State Fan Registered Thru TOR said:Another phart in a hurricane by the University of Pedsburgh Panturds.
Hello Lectures
Gave you a few recommendations on your visit to Pittsburgh.
If you get the time would be interested in some specifics on your impressions of the city and some of the sites you visited.
Thanks.
HAIL TO PITT!!!!
First post on our board full of flames? Here's to you! When was the last time Rutgers beat anyone of note? Rutgers is a Big 10 bottom feeder for eternity. Pitt has won 9 national championships and has a multitude of players in the college and pro hall of fames. In comparison Rutgers has NO FB tradition whatsoever!
Not if you live in NJ. Similar academics, so no advantage there. Both P5, no advantage Pitt there. ACC vs B1G no advantage Pitt, both schools really aren't much different in football but RU has a higher ceiling. Slight advantage right now for Pitt. No difference in potential playing time. No advantage Pitt. Job potential, advantage Rutgers. Ease of family/friends watching games in person, advantage Rutgers. Getting home and back on short breaks, advantage Rutgers, stadiums, advantage Rutgers...
Please give me the advantages of Pitt except our last 2 year record...Thank you
PS: not knocking Pitt but just no glaring point for choosing over your own equal state school that has some advantages...
Really? Let's try to show a little class, huh?Shitt better pray every night that Sparty doesn't go 3-9 again...otherwise Narduzzi is going to East Lansing and Shitt will be back to Square 1.
Agreed, a bunch of it is subjective. Some of it is dead on - big difference between our stadium situations. And being able to drive 30-40 minutes to see a game versus an overnight trip of about 720 miles. Some of this is very subjective.

Absolutely no argument with that. Some kids need to be a significant distance from the environment they were raised in.But for some 18 year olds getting away is a positive not a negative.
I agree. The dad sounds like the college football version of Lavar Ball. And mark my words, if Sparty sucks this year, Narduzzi will be in East Lansing in 2018.I liked the kid but we may have dodged a bullet because the Dad seemed like a total psycho. One of the worst I have ever seen in 10 years following recruiting. A NJ kid is a fool for going to Pitt. Narduzzi has been actively looking to leave since he arrived there, you play in front of more empty yellow seats than fans, and the school itself is very meh. Their big sell is going to class in a 200 year old building with a black chalkboard and tiny wooden seats with the fold over desk.
Yes there is . Pitt will win the ACC in the near term future. Pitt beat Clemson and Penn ST. last year. When was the last time Rutgers beat anyone of note? Rutgers is a Big 10 bottom feeder for eternity. Pitt has won 9 national championships and has a multitude of players in the college and pro hall of fames. In comparison Rutgers has NO FB tradition whatsoever!
Shaddup you felonious troll! When we getting together for a beer? For a program that has embarrassesed its fan base over and over again we need to get a grip when ripping 18 year old kids who only know us as a national joke. I speak as a masochistic but realistic long standing member of that fan base not as a troll. .
Yes I remember and thank you!
We stayed at the Omni William Penn. Good location and a beautiful old school lobby.
We had our first meal at the Gaucho Argentine steak place in the strip district (walked from our hotel). It was really really good. I had the ribeye and my wife had the strip. Awesome sauce selection.
We met up with my brother in laws family in from Michigan and staying at the Wyndham by the point. I loved this location. That evening we walked down to the fountain in park then strolled along the river all the way to the Clemente Bridge. The game was going on and PNC was glittering in the night. Really nice walk.
Since we had a lot of kids with us we did the science museum one day and the zoo another. Both were very fun. I defeated the air hockey playing robot 1-0 in a triumph for the human race.
Fathers Day itself we took in the game. The Cubs delivered a beatdown but the stadium might be the nicest I've ever seen.
After the game we had dinner at the original Primatis which everyone enjoyed and then we hit the milk shake factory downtown for desert. That place was awesomeness. Best sundae I've had in years.
Downtown was easy to traverse by foot. We used the train to get to the science museum and that was very easy and pleasant. Took uber/lyft several times also which was fast, convenient and cheap.
Since it's a nice midpoint between Michigan and NJ we plan to come back. I loved looking at the architecture downtown.
Thanks for taking the time out to post your thoughts last week. Much appreciated.
I like Pitt. But I will answer this Pitt poster with this, that we owned you for at least a seven-year stretch, having gone 5-2, including wins in "your" building. So GTF out of here with your weak-*** troll and stop living in the past when Dorsett was your back.Yes there is . Pitt will win the ACC in the near term future. Don't worry about it, he's already gone. I enjoy banter between us and fans of opposing programs, but when a poster's 1st post on our board is a flat out flame, well, they're out of here.I like Pitt. Pitt beat Clemson and PSU and STILL played in a "idontgiveafuckabout" bowl game. Pitt will never win the ACC. That's a two horse race with Miami creeping up. Anyway IMHO, IYes there is . That's Pork Trap, not Port Trap.Unlike port trap, who continues to flame under the guise of being an RU fan, posting mostly on PSU threads sticking up for his beloved Pedophiles.
Thanks for saving me the typing. The bottom line - it was a bush league, classless move. Character matters, especially when your playing days are over.Regardless of some of the comparisons expressed comparing the schools the point to focus is the original one on the announcement by the Alaimo family at a Rutgers event. Totally a lack of any respect or class. It puts them as well as St. Joe's in a negative light. Given the fact that over the years Rutgers has had an open and good relationship with the school and former longtime coach Karcher (who is now the AD) this is sad to see. I think most here want to ask and get a rational answer from the Alaimos as to why this was done this way as opposed to waiting to announce the commitment in another way.
Let's not try to downplay Pitt as a lesser or poor choice. It's a very good school. Smaller in size in terms of getting around campus and has a very good academic situation as well as proven overall football and athletic success. The big ***** here is the valid one as to the inexcusable action by the Alaimo family. Maybe they or their coach might care to explain or clarify.....but I doubt it.
Pitt beat Clemson and PSU and STILL played in a "idontgivea****about" bowl game. Pitt will never when the ACC. That's a two horse race with Miami creeping up.Anyway IMHO, I
think his father plays a big part in his recruitment and they didn't get the "golf cart" treatment. That's why you get what transpired at the camp with the Pitt pledge. Your coach holds character very high in the process. You can't be 10 strong if your father is complaining about playing time. Didn't that guy tweet bashing y'all about the not offering.
That was a nice job by them.I like Pitt. Ever since they did that class act for Eric, I changed my tune on them Can't hate them any more.
Cuse and PSU though, they can burn in hell.
Pitt is a good school but not really any different than RU, PSU, UDel, UConn, Maryland etc. They do have an excellent medical school.I liked the kid but we may have dodged a bullet because the Dad seemed like a total psycho. One of the worst I have ever seen in 10 years following recruiting. A NJ kid is a fool for going to Pitt. Narduzzi has been actively looking to leave since he arrived there, you play in front of more empty yellow seats than fans, and the school itself is very meh. No matter the reason, if he was at RU and committed elsewhere or even immediately after he left- ***** move and on purpose.
Sounds like Dad orchestrated this one.
Pitt makes no sense for a NJ kid. Schools are almost exactly the same but one is in the middle of no where while the other in your backyard.
did he actualy interview? I had heard he called late in the Ash process, after RU had verbaly offered Ash the job,but before he signed?Funny thing is, if Pitt football is superior to RU then why did Pat Narduzzi secretly interview for the RU job after being at Pitt for only one year???????????
Who would have thrown him the ball?Really could have used this kid. Had all the tools to be an excellent TE/WR. IMHO a tweener that could have played either position successfully.
@Richard Schnyderite @bobby derenAll this worry over a kid who couldn't have committed to us this weekend even if he tried
Issue here isn't that he chose Pitt (at least with most posters). Issue is where the family made the announcement. Reverse the schools and let me now what you would think about a Pitt recruit attending a Pitt camp and announcing he is going to RU during the camp.He seems like a good prospect since he had over 11 offers from P5 schools.
One of the reasons he may have chosen Pitt was because he will reconnect with his HS team mate Nick Patti (QB) who is also coming to Pitt.

Pittsburgh is the middle of nowhere?????
Wow. Just wow.
I guess Piscataway is your idea of a thriving metropolitan area? Sheesh.
Can't we say good things about why kids should want to go to Rutgers without sounding like a fool about another school? Pittsburgh is a great city.
Don't worry about it, he's already gone. I enjoy banter between us and fans of opposing programs, but when a poster's 1st post on our board is a flat out flame, well, they're out of here.
Thank you, my brotha!! Let civility rain!!*DJ, you know your job was easy on this one. You rile RaRa up and you have to be an *******. Lol
