If I was a college basketball player and knew I wasn't going to the league, I'd probably transfer after my soph year at any school i went to as well. 5 years of college as a d1 athlete? Sign me up! haha. Still regret not doing a victory lap myself

That seems about right for him. I would expect Diallo to wind up at a MAAC level school.

One of my buddies said an extra year of work before retiring is worth an extra year of partying

Glad he got closer to his home in Fliorda. Oh wait!!
As far as I know, none of the D1 programs in Florida, UF, FSU, UCF, USF, FGCU or Miami reached out to Laurent. Stetson may have but ego wise, Florida kids don't currently want to go to Stetson.

The UMASS head coach, Matt McCall, is a former Florida assistant under Billy Donovan. He saw plenty of Laurent in HS & AAU. There was already a relationship.

With the influx of Europeans in the NBA, and the one or two year and done college players, that really doesn't leave that many left that will make it in the NBA at their school they are at. Under your scenario, pretty much everybody would transfer. The NBA is not like the NFL, very few opportunities comparatively. Even the NFL, it is an elite club.

Legacy and "already a relationship" never seems to help around here.

Didn't Rutgers get Bullock because there was already a relationship with Stony Brook?

What is Bullocks status on the roster ? I never hear anything about him on the practice court. Will he be an active roster player for RU in 17-18 ?

All I know is I saw Bullock doing individual workouts twice about two weeks ago when I stopped at the RAC before a baseball game. I think he will be playing this fall for RU.

UMASS picked up a transfer from Memphis today...another Florida kid.

Recruiting, especially transfers, is all about relationships
