Perhaps the most intriguing point I read in this thread is that he catches the ball well. For years we have failed to have inside players who can catch the ball and then score consistently inside after the catch. Part of the problem with our guards throwing up ill advised shots after penetrating is that our big men fail to position themselves adequately to receive a drop off pass, catch the pass, and then convert. If this player can accomplish the foregoing it will potentially improve the half court offense in a meaningful way.

I am not delusional. I doubt this individual will transform the program. If he does have the skill set described above, however, there should be incremental improvement for the program.

Absolutely ...big man hands is the NUMBER one thing that i look for to see if there is potential. From the video ...it really seems like he does (btw...it's why I have hope for doorson as well) and the ball come to naturally with handle and fluidity ...always pay attention when the pass isn't on the money and see how much he has to adjust the body versus use just the arms

I'll like to get this kid ...3 for 3...he is a piece to the puzzle with doorson at center

I don't think we need to make up for Kiss at all, that's at least 2 years out before he graduates and could play all 3 of his remaining years here....

It was a joke. With Kiss not playing this year I was hoping he was playing 2 years in the 2017-18 season. Think Bugs Bunny.

Visited EtSU last weekend. Is he scheduled here yet? Would be an immediate starter once he us healthy. Also expect quantum leap this year from Sa.

I am with you regarding Candido Sa. I think unless you are a top 40 player in the JUCO division, Division I could really smack you in the face. Sa has had a year to observe, see what the competition is like, and really comes back this year as a more helpful piece.

Supposedly Sa only picked up the game a couple years ago. It would be in his best interest to stay more in the paint, and learn that part of the game. That should be his territory.

It is all quiet about Jonathan. I really wonder if he really is even on our radar? Only one guy mentioned him at all.

Yea seemed promising then I asked if he had a visit and the thread died before. Anyone know if he is planning a visit or is seriously interested?

Kent State is Gary Waters two stops ago. Yikes. Though I checked the Kent State roster -- they have more guys from NYC and IMG Academy than we do.
