RU vs Wisconsin Game Thread 3/1/17

Just turned it on, VERY SPECIAL, SK.com said 4 PM and it's almost the end of 1st quarter. :angry:
Well, RU is 1-16 this year when it trails at the end of the 1st quarter. Looking bleak, especially with 2 fouls on Parker.
Could we could set a low scoring B1G tourny record? Definitely a low percentage record.
this program is an abomination. Time to send her packing. Wisconsin was literally the worst power 5 program for the past decade. RU get wallopped. Do all the CVS supporters think she is going to change her ways with offense. THIS IS AN UTTER EMBARRASSMENT.....She needs to save face and retire.

Worst half of basketball I have ever seen at any level. Coach, time to retire with all due respect.
Three field goals in the first half of a basketball game is beyond belief against a opponent that stinks.Even Craig Carter must be laughing as a assistant coach at Wisconsin.
I keep talking about wasted scholarships at Rutgers but somebody in the athletic department really needs to look into this matter.Big time college athletics at its worse.Football and the two basketball teams have a grand total of 5 league wins this year .There must be accountability but I don't see any.
too bad.....3-28 vs a 11th place team is absolutely atrocious...you could tell the girls to go out and shoot with no coaching and they would get more buckets by accident
it is your right to get warm fuzzies over this team and think CVS is preparing for another Final 4 run, it is my right to post my thoughts
by the way Kim Barnes Arrico who basically schooled CVS at St John's stealing players from her own backyard and outtoughing RU every game, just was named Big 10 coach of the year at Michigan and has the Lady Wolverines ranked.
Wisconsin really stinks which gives Rutgers a chance if they keep a pulse on offense.50-38 Wisconsin,8 minutes remaining.
Like the optimism. If we hold them scoreless and score in the fourth quarter what we did in the first half...we win.
When we break their press there is not even a look to score.
Break the press then bring it out to the guard
so you can use 25 to 30 seconds. Good stategy when you are down a dozen.
We'll see what Hobbs does after this season is over and looks like today's the last day of the 2016-17 season for RU WBB.
Based on this season alone , Hobbs won't be bringing Vivian back.
But if Hobbs feels that there is a valid reason to have expected a poor year and unforeseen circumstances made it even worse, Hobbs might give Stringer the benefit of doubt and allow her to return for the 2017-18 season.
Either way is fine with me, based on this season would expect Hobbs to let CVS know she's not coming back and giver her the opportunity to retire before that decision becomes public.
What points in that direction ( in my opinion) is that there hasn't been any publicity about how contract extension talks are going and I feel once this season started going so bad Hobbs wasn't sure if extending CVS would be a good move for the future of the RU WBB program and decided to wait till season is over before making any type of move to extend or ask Vivian to retire and let her go if she didn't.
If I'm wrong about Hobbs not bringing Stringer back , that's alright by me and I'll defend that decision by saying what kept this team back this season won't keep it back next year because the players needed to win will be playing .
Except for the blond ponytail players that some have been asking CVS to recruit since there was a need ( for some) to find something to complain about

we lost to Wisconsin...at home...I don't care if we scored 890 points in a half
Will that be enough for Hobbs to feel Vivian deserves another year.
What was expected to be a blowout the way game was looking at one point changed into a good game.
But not good enough because of the way RU started out.
Glad there was fight shown, sorry that it didn't lead to victory.
Didn't look like The RAC to me. It was Indianapolis, Indiana.
