Maryland is showing us what talent looks like. They are better every player they have is better than their counterpart.

At least the lax team won.

I wonder if coach Pike knew it was gonna be this bad.

No doubt. All he had to do was look at 3 minutes from any game last year.

It's a process. Year 1 was a success. Instill the style and effort standard, upgrade the talent at a few spots.

This game is prime example of why people should be cautious about predicting improvements next year...being competitive and holding late leads does not mean much when you finish 2-16..until the talent level grows signsignificantly this team will finish last in the Big 10

Little too negative. We hit some outside shots we are in this game. As it were, we were only down four at half. Not that far off if God forbid sone outside shots fall.

You have a really scrappy mike Williams a role player in Johnson and undersized freeman and the rest of the roster are projects

Great inspiration for the home crowd when the team plays its worst ball at home this year. WTF?

So much for single digit losses and avoiding a blow out ... One more chance to win at home.

Give Maryland credit...they played great....Ru played poorly at times because Maryland was at their best...rutgers played a solid first half . Ru played worse vs Iowa...better teams can expose weaker teams

At half, the team was down by four.

Again, like the start of the year, the team comes out stale out of the half.

Within two minutes, down 10.

Johnson should not have been replaced as much as he was in the second half. Not Pikiells best sub night.

Sanders has a lot of work to do. Offensively tonight, it was hard to say he was even one dimensional. He has all the ceiling, but has to stay out of the studio, and in the gym.

Great passing team in Maryland. Trimble shows why he is a second round pick. Uncanny finishes.

I think we need to realize that the talent level is at the lowest it has ever been, and we are playing in the Big 10 that is overall in a down year. Unless we hit it big with recruits and/or transfers, this has the makings of a slow, hard climb up...and I really like the coaching staff.

Such a long way that almost for the entire first half, we were down by as little as two. Second half looong way. Yes. First half, right there. Different story.

End result, pretty bad. Maryland showed why they are a top 25 team.

Maryland isn't even that good and yet Sanders might be the RU only player who sees significant minutes on that team, and I'm not sure he'd start.

We have a long way to go and it's all about recruiting.

Let me add to this point. Much of the improvements that you'd hope to see at the start of a new year is due to the year's worth of playing and experience that the players got the previous year. Well, here we are, virtually at the end of that year, and the team still has problems scoring.

Agree...Maryland brought it today. I thought we played extremely hard in the 1st half but MD was relentless

Don't think MD had 2 empty trips in a row, 2nd half. Almost perfect execution and hitting wide open 3's. Their interior passing is beautiful to watch. Big difference when everyone can move with the ball.
Gettys had a nice first half, but missed some easy shots and got blocked at least once. He plays like 6' in traffic. Made a nice fake from maybe 4' and then banked it over the rim.
When you can't put the ball in the basket, it really doesn't matter. Coupled with the fact that MD is just better and you lose by 20.
Would be nice to win the last one at home. As usual, won't be easy.

Most of the guards Maryland runs out there can actually shoot the ball. He might not see the floor on that team.

Look at the box score. Of all people you are calling out Gettys??
