Creep State....nobody knew nothin'....Jerry seemed like such a good guy....always working, working, working with little boys....the denials.....the clinging to faded, fetted and stained football glory....feigned honor and dignity.....it's not just Sandusky, it's not just Paterno, it's not just Spanier...it's CREEP STATE

I wouldn't let my worst enemy send their kid there!

Penn State received a record more than 130,000 applications for last fall, and more than 18,000 paid acceptances, including so many at University Park that it actually offered students money to enroll at a branch campus. So, I think PSU will be OK without your worst enemy's kid. Send him or her my best, though.

Dottie?...no clue.

i could be wrong, but I think she's a naive old bat and completely believes her husband's innocence....but who knows.
Like so many people in central PA her livelihood depended on the goodwill of JoePa and the success of the football program.
Don't rock the boat.

Not surprised. Folks are so blindly devoted to the football program that it appears a monster was able to leverage that fanaticism -- and the political capital, & revenue streams that came with it --- into a personal playground of pure evil.

So, my take. Sandusky, Joe Pa, any admin who covered up andcany coach/player who witnessed and didn't beatbtgenliving fux out of Sandusky and save a kid they see getting raped, should all go to hell.
As for PSU. I would not have a problem with my son playing there at all. I would have no problem with a family member getting their education there. I would only have a problem if they became a cultist. My nephew just graduated and is a proud football fan too. He is disgusted by what happened and will freely say so. But he is a proud graduate and football fan non the less.
I just don't get those that worship JoePa and football above everything and I don't get why someone feels a kid going there now has anything to do with Ped state. BTW- I hate OSU when it comes to sports lol

Coach Emeritus still went to bowl games ( bringing victims) on Penn St's dime and Paterno didn't stop that.
Is that any better [sick]

Not that I give a flying frogs fat ***, but the infamous bowl game he brought his victim to was the 99 Alamo Bowl. The McQueary incident didn't occur yet.

Go to bed. You're drunk

To quote your words "Not that I give a flying frogs fat ***" who cares if the McQueary incident happened yet or not. Sandusky was raping young boys in the PSU locker room for 2 decades before the 99 Bowl. @ damn decades in the locker room. No one knew about it until that coward McQueary reported it? Come on man

Now this is the stuff that pisses people off.

On the other hand, as I said in the post above, I have no problem with anyone going to school there or playing football there now. That is unless they start trying to justify anything that happened over 20+ years there.

it pisses people off?

you basically want me to believe that Paterno or other coaches knew he was a monster, worked side by side with anyway, and allowed their own children around Jerry and his family (with all their adopted kids and foster children, they apparently had a lot of parties).

Jerry was the 2nd most beloved man in State College, a pillar of the community, was always around kids, was perceived a saint for the time he put into helping disadvantaged children (yeah yeah...we now know why)........that being said.....knowing locals and some football players from the mid 90s......if anything, people thought Jerry was nerdy, a goofball, he didn't booze, he was a church-going man, and yeah...he'd rather hang out with kids then hang out with the guys from the team/assnt coaches......but to think he was harming children wasn't in the purview of anyone's imagination......sorry man....people didn't know......If you want to believe otherwise, and I'm not naive that is general public's opinion.....cool.

I'll admit this.....if I wasn't a PSU fan and I didn't know every oz of every single detail of this crazy debacle of a story (which clearly most people dont)....I'd probably feel the same way as others....sad to say. I'd hope to be objective, but that's probably naive. I don't know about you...but I thought those Duke players were guilty as sin....i was wrong

just because Jerry was a monster....maybe makes it easier for you to believe other people monsters too...and simply were ok with Jerry's proclivities. I don't.

now, after the McQueary incident...all bets are off....not sure on how malicious the intent was, but ehh....the ball was clearly dropped.....can't wait to hear Curley & Schultz talk and explain themselves.

Not that I give a flying frogs fat ***,

Oh, you care. You care a whole lot.

Enough to constantly haunt this board along with other Bots like Cheesy & kjb123 to explain to us how misguided we are to hold Paterno culpable for the decades of child rape committed within his program.

Just stop with the denial.
If you didn't care you'd go away.

JoePed-a man who enables 40 years of pedophilia is not a man.

Who forgets about horrific incidents of child abuse in 1971, 1976, 1987, 1988, 1988(again), 1998 and 2001 and does nothing?

Just pay the $2.4 million Cleary Act fine, pay McQueary the $12mm, melt the hypocrite’s statue and GTFO.

Yes, because I know that something like that could not be happening in the locker room over decades with out multiple people knowing about it and without a doubt the HC(And Joe was much more than a HC) would be aware. Your head in the sand is stupid as hell and very unrealistic...

I'm just trying to follow you. Obviously, you are disgusted by what happened. But you feel that Joe P was clueless for 20+ years that little boys were getting raped in his locker room and that no one before McQueary ever stumbled upon it and told Joe. Hell, it was reported that Schiano stumbled upon it and it was already well known by then.
And your take must be that Joe did everything in his "limited" power to do what he could.
I just want to make sure where you are coming from...

You know where they are coming from. It's where they will always be.

If the big nosed weirdo himself crawled up from the depths of Hell and wrote a confession, with the blood of joe-papologists' relatives, live on the BIG network, they still would not believe.

I'm all for defending our turf against this nonsense. But trying to reason with them is not the way to go.

But you feel that Joe P was clueless for 20+ years that little boys were getting raped in his locker room and that no one before McQueary ever stumbled upon it and told Joe.

I'm going give you the unpopular answer you expect me to provide....yes

quid pro quo: I realize you're hanging your hat on the 1976 deposition, but you feel the Joe P knew Jerry was a monster, raping boys under his nose, but still worked side by side with him, promoting him to DC, supporting Jerry starting his charity, and allowing his own kids to be around Jerry's family? it's rhetorical...i know you feel....YEAH!....lol.

as you feel about my response, I feel your response is just as bat-sh*t crazy.

you bring up Schiano....you believe he knew? where's the outrage. He denies all....i guess he's lying. 1 tweet to claim his innocence...and that's it....no other mention about him.

there was a deposition against Paterno, Schiano, Bradley, & O'Dea (conveniently, nobody wants to talk about him). Paterno can't defend himself, and the other 3 vehemently deny the allegations....but everybody's lying?....alright.

again, O'Dea was accused of seeing a boy being molested in 88...but was coaching at UVA at the time...didn't come to PSU till 91. but whatever...just focus on Paterno.

There was also a story from Sara Ganim about Paterno knowing in 1971....her source was a local drunk with a long rap-sheet, Bernie McCue......i'm shocked you guys don't cling to that story as well.....maybe because the story's been widely debunked....quite frankly, haven't a peep from Sara Ganim in awhile. she probably got suspended.....i dunno.

the 01 story clearly doesn't put Paterno in the best light....but the 1976 story?.....that's soooo believable for you guys. i don't know...we'll agree to disagree.

I admit my bias...but I'm not delusional. Jerry is where he belongs. I wish all this wasn't true. I wish Jerry wasn't a monster...but he is. He was legend, a supposed loving caring family man.....he's embarrassing enough even in there wasn't any stink on Paterno whatsover. anyway

can you tell it's February?....i think we're all pretty bored.

i enjoy all the civil Paterno debates....keep on, keepin on.

Go to bed. You're drunk
Twice in 1999 . The Alamo Bowl at the end of 1999 (Dec.28th) and the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day in 1999.
Sandusky was indicted for molesting children at both those bowls.
I wouldn’t be surprised as Coach Emeritus Sandusky was allowed to bring potential victims because of the special privileges Paterno allowed Penn St.’s Coach Emeritus to have (>Sandusky was awarded "both an unusual compensation package and a special designation of 'emeritus' rank that carried special privileges, including access to the university’s recreational facilities.<)
If not bowl games he took them to regular season games ( home and maybe away games) , because I found this (Sandusky employed classic child grooming strategies such as offering trips to football games )
You can claim after McQueary caught Sandusky molesting a child Paterno and his band of enablers didn't let him bring victims to any more bowl games, but they did allow him to take his victims to games without doing a thing to stop him.
Don't say they didn't know he was doing that or that he wasn't after McQueary turned the pervert in. They even allowed Sandusky to remain an honored part of Penn St football by letting him keep his Coach Emeritus status despite them knowing he was a child molester.

Here’s something you can’t deny and shows Penn St still let their Coach Emeritis bring his victims to PSU football games after McQueary turned him in
>Victim No. 9 began participating in activities through The Second Mile Program in approximately 2004. From 2004 to 2008, Victim 9 participated in a number of Second Mile camps and activities.Subsequently, Sandusky took Victim 9 to numerous Penn State University football games.<
PSU Don’t act like Penn St and Paterno did anything but allow Sandusky to use the Nittany Lion football program to make it easier for him to molest children.

Drunk claim an act of desperation by you , because you couldn’t dispute the truth.

Sandusky should have been executed swiftly with a limited number of appeals. Wouldn't erase all the damage he did to those young kids but it would have been a good start.
