Redshirted this year, but why? Conditioning issues; relationship with Reid?? Thoughts?

Redshirted because the pace was too quick. Also, the game is just a yuuuuuuge step up. Pikiell has high expectations. He brought in Bullock because he was tough. But now it might have shown it will be a tough task for him at this level.

Well see what happens.

Six sentences to say: not good enough to play yet .

Meanwhile, Miles Bridges, the McDonald's All-American that Bullock outplayed in a game according to a poster on these boards, is averaging 16 and 8 for MSU as a freshman.

We just need Bullock to drain 3s, make FTs, and finish 1 footers. If he can do that, he'll play.

I hope that some of our big men look for greener pastures after this season.

Pike gave them an opportunity, but some of these guys look like they cannot play at this level.

So glad we have Gettys. Less talent than some of these posers on the roster, but way more results.

First Dadika, now Bullock? If you're looking for a magic potion, I'd suggest looking somewhere other than the end of the bench.

There was one?

I'm simply asking about a kid red shirting? Next season we still have sanders, Johnson, Williams and then baker, Thiam and the juco transfer from Iowa. Then other role players like Laurent and Eugene to mix into the rotation. Tough to find quality minutes for another player unless he is transferring and Pike redshirted him so he didn't burn a year? I saw the film of that game against Bridges from last year but Bridges is a budding superstar in the Big 10. Bullock looked like a football player on the court but without speed. I don't know much about him and just trying to get some insight.

For what it's worth, Jerry Carino mentioned in his Minnesota game story that Bullock is "injured and will be redshirting". So that is the official line.

There is a tough part about being HC. Sometimes you have to chase off a good kid that can't cut it . Good coaches would let him know if will never ever ever get a minute of court time but will make calls to find him a landing spot where he can get the opportunity to better develope.
