Carlene Mitchell to coach in WNBA

[ScarletteK80]

To Chicago as assistant. Congrats, Chicago is now Rutgers North with her joining Cappie, Betnijah, and Kahleah.

Surprised she is leaving Santa Barbara.

Surprised she is leaving Santa Barbara.

She was fired from Santa Barbara after the 2015 season.

She had no success as a head coach. Her record at UCSB went from 17-16, to 16-17, to 8-22, to finally 2-27 in her last year. I spoke with her a few years back when her team played at Arizona, very nice person and I'm sure a good coach, but her teams seemed to lack the talent to execute her game plans, or at least that's what it looked like. Her teams struggled to score, and as you can see, failed to win.

So happy that she found a position.

Believe she left after the 2014-15 season after 4 years there.
( edit: Knight Time Fan posted this info before me and reason)

I am very very aware when she left UCSB. I may have been the first to post it here.

I was referring to her leaving the CITY of Santa Barbara.

Oh. Never gave it any thought, sort of assumed she left when the job ended.

Nice area, though. Weather surely better than Chicago.
