As you all probably know, we are buying this game with our season football renewal. The wrestling match will be earlier in the day. Does anyone know the approximate time spread of these two events? Going to that place is bad enough. Sitting for hours waiting for the football game to start will be painful. Thanks for any informed input. $$$$

Going to be a great day. Hopefully we have more of these in the future. We are NYC team. Let's embrace it.

Leave after wrestling match

No waiting involved

I'm trying to decide what to do with my tix for that game. Selling them probably won't work, nobody will want to buy them. I could have a ceremonial burning of them. Maybe I should char them up and mail them to Hobbs along with a check made out to RU Athletics for negative face value of the tix.

They cannot force you to stay for the football game!

That's not the question. The question was can you leave after the wrestling and then re enter again 90-120 minutes later for the start of the Football game. Pretty sure Yankees won't allow that so they can benefit from the fans stuck waiting around buying their concessions.

All the more reason to char the tix and mail them to Hobbs.

And I'm saying if your attending wrestling LEAVE after it and go home and watch football on TV.

Empty seats for football sends another message about forcing fans to buy tickets for an away game.

Fans in the seats sends a messsge that it's ok and fleece us again.

Going to be a great day.
I hope those who go do have an enjoyable day, but it's going to be a putrid day for Rutgers Football, reduced to being a sideshow for the Big 10 in a half empty stadium.

Now THAT is a great idea!

Heard there would be a 90 minute gap between the end of the Wrestling match and the Warmups for the Football Game. So plan on about 2 -2.5 hours to Kickoff. Assume you can leave Yankee Stadium and return back in ????? If not, another BS ploy on this $cam event.

The set up for the wrestling match followed by the football game is already one huge cluster ****. So not only are season ticket holders being held hostage to pay for this sh*t show. Now if I want to leave I can't after the wrestling match. I have to wait there for 2hrs till the football game starts. What the hell is there to do in Crappee Stadium for 2hrs.? This deal just keeps getting worse as time goes on. Can't wait to see how much money RU loses after this crap fest is over.

You can buy $12 cans of Budweiser and line the pockets of the $teinbrenners.

I personally feel bad NOT going and it is NOT against the players but if the fans and season ticket holders DO NOT take a stand it will continue to happen.

Playing the game before 5000 people sends a message to Hobbs.

Playing before 30,000 sends the opposite message.

Will not affect the bowls because once they examine the situation it will be evident to them it is a one off protest.

If you like having a home game moved to a neutral field while no one else in conference is, then by all mean attend.

Exactly.
I will stay home and watch on TV
We all need to send a message to Hobbs that will not be acceptable in the future.

Fans need to make a choice

Go and have it keep happening

Don't go and hopefully it ends

Making fans buy tickets they do not want to a terrible neutral site venue is horrible.

Sent emails to both Hobbs and Sarah voicing my displeasure with this "forced" home game for RU season ticket holders. I reminded them I am a 20 year season ticket holder and annual donor to the program. Never heard a word back from either one of them.

You probably won't

Based on Hobbs comments last week on radio show he thinks this is a great idea.

Fans and season ticket holders need to show him otherwise by not going.

Either cancel your season tickets for. next season or buy the minimum and then buy the cheapest seats at Yankees stadium

Will give Hobbs a "pass" on this coming game at YS since it was the previous AD who negotiated this and won't cancel my season tickets. I will not go however. If Hobbs keeps kissing up to the Yankees/$teinbrenners and goes against the feelings of the vast majority of RU fans and schedules Home games at YS I'm done.

Hobbs could have backed out and chose not to, thus making loyal fans buy tickets to a neutral site/away game that at least 80% DO NOT want to go to.

Yes, I am sure the Yankees got into Hobbs ear quite often on this game.
They both knew dam well that this Game as an option ticket would mean Horrible " Gate Receipts" for both and a Financial disaster for the Yankees. Tickets sold would number below 10,000.

Although they will get some money on season ticket holders being forced to buy tickets to a neutral site/away game, EMPTY seats will send the message that really needs to be sent unfortunately.

Which is why I'm refusing to subsidize the owners of the Steinbrenner Memorial Whorehouse.
Don't blame this on the Yankees, at least they invited Rutgers, other places
laugh at us. Blame this one on Rutgers, This is my 8th decade of going to
Yankee stadium (all three), baseball games, I love the Yankees, but hate the
Bronx. I hate the fact of Rutgers playing there, and I feel if I go, I am
supporting this move, so, see ya don't want to be ya.

I will not go to another Rutgers game at Yankee stadium. Ever. Hobbs can spin it all he wants, but the game day experience there sucks for the fans. Forcing these tickets on the season ticket holders is BS and not the kind of thing Rutgers should be doing considering the state of the product that is currently being offered on the field. This is just typical Rutgers type decision making.

I can't imagine they would let people leave. Did the answer get confirmed one way or another yet? And I feel like the only stadiums ive ever been to that allowed something like that was only on direct outer perimeter as opposed to completely leaving to go to the bar or a restaurant.

I guess maybe they could do a wristband or stamp type of thing for those who leave?

Who said I'm blaming the Yankees? Although I can damn them for inviting us, but more of the damnation lies with Hobbs for not walking away from this last year.

That's the company line they've been pushing, but it was ENTIRELY in Hobbs domain to not agree to the game there, as there was no written contract.

Don't think the Yankees will do a stamp or wristband. If you leave you can't return . They want you in there for hours paying their ob$cene for concessions. Hobbs showed no backbone here.

I think you touch on a good issue here...right now the program is not good at all...a winning program that was going 7-5 or better every year would probably not see a fanbase ***** quite at this level but the program is coming off of a 2-10 season and probably is headed toward no better than 4-8 next year, that takes away alot of the excitement of going to a home game that is not in Piscataway. Not that in favor of it when RU is successful but its more palpable as fans to take...I feel the same way for the Wisky game that the Big 10 forced on RU to give a home RAC game...I will not be going

I would hope most fans would give Hobbs a pass on this game and hope this is the end of
this....even though he had to power of undoing it, he might have wanted to see how it goes

It IS important to make as much noise about hating this game there, as to hopefully stop
future games there....

All he had to do was to ask anyone how it is.
