Indiana at Maryland tonight...big matchup, Indiana got of the skids by easily defeating Illinois but would take a big step toward regaining their luster with a road win in Maryland. Terps held off Michigan on the road and would move into a tie for first with a win tonight...I like the Terps tonight

Indiana may need a signature win. Blackmon is a net negative. Don't be surprised in IU sits home tournament time

Indiana will make the tournament. Just a matter of an 8/9 seed or a higher seed. Committee will not ignore their wins against Kansas and UNC come March.

Should be a good game tonight. Maryland played well on the road against Michigan this past weekend and looks like they have more chemistry than last year. Really like Anthony Cowan. Another outstanding freshman in the B1G.

Geez didn't know they beat both....

What if they go 8-10 0-1 and finish 18-14

9-9 0-1 19-13 they probably dance. Obviously the makeup off the bubble is important

my quick glance last week at conferences show that mid and low majors are pretty weak this year with schools having standout seasons. The Power 5 plus Big East are really going to clean up this year on bids

If Rutgers doesn't do it's normal part and serve up wins and goes 5-13 AND Wisconsin and Purdue go 13-5 or better you can have 11 teams in a 8 to 10 win blanket which would be bid killing and make for an unbelievable B1G tourney.

I could easily see only 6 bids with bid #6 in a play in game. Outside of Purdue and Wisconsin the bids can come from anywhere except RU.

Big 10 will easily get 7 and could get 9

that was a great game last night, Maryland's MO seems to play these kinds of games. I think people were sleeping on them but they are capable of challenging for the league title

Wednesday games

Its odd but Minnesota travels to Michigan State for a rematch of a game just played a couple weeks back where MSU won. Since Minnesota has looked great and MSU didnt look so hot vs PSU. I like Minnesota to enact revenge in a tough place to play

Michigan travels to Illinois in a game that both schools really need to at least keep them in position for a NCAA bid. Both schools like a notch below the top 5-6 in the league right now. Going to go with the Illini here in a game which should go down to the wire.

Someone should text Dan Dakich. "Indiana is capable of beating anyone". Really Dan? To another poster above, Indiana will make the Big Dance no matter what. Partly for observations like Dakich's that people take at face value. Think of Indiana hoops, from a Rutgers lacrosse perspective, as Johns Hopkins. The selection committee will find a way to shine a light on the Hoosiers in a way that only makes sense to Hoosiers fans. Exactly like last season's circumstances with Johns Hopkins.

Also thought it was a tremendous game with terrific offense and terrific defense. Everything was earned. Exactly what you would expect in a conference game , very high intensity , could have gone either way. Both teams love the uptempo which I think increased the intensity level.

I agree on Big 10, that at least 7 make the tourney. ACC is looking like 9 , with maybe a 10th , Big East looking like 5, Big 12 at least 6, PAC 12 at least 5 and maybe 6, and SEC looking like at least 4. The power conferences will dominate the bids more than ever.

MSU is young enough and talented enough that they'll look like National Champs one day, and clueless the next. We (and apparently Minne) caught them on the former

They will beat Penn state

Illinios beat up on Michigam pretty good. Looking like Belilens team headed possibly for a bottom 5 finish...haven't been impressed by them...very winnable game at tbe RAC

They are going to shoot their way to a couple of good wins though. They're so reliant on the 3 that if they aren't hitting, they almost don't stand a chance.

Tonight...

Ohio State travels to Wisconsin searching for their first win and I do not see how it happens tonight. Its not that Buckeyes are bad, they have played tough at time, just not good enough right now.

Purdue hopes to avoid a letdown at Iowa, I believe they took care of them easily in the first matchup, expect a closer one this time, but Iowa just doesnt have the firepower to stay with the Boilermakers

Northwestern looks for their 3 league road win this year. This game figures to be close. The Wildcats can run cold on offense and if RU can bring the same play they did at Iowa, they will have a shot to pull it out, still like the Cats here tough
