we have 2 more defections coming up

Oh REALLY? Please, name them, because I'm thinking you're full of **** and grasping at straws on this one. Yes, Fatukasi may take his other visits, but there's absolutely nothing out there, as of now, to make any such claim as to he or any other current commit "defecting."

He could be going by a certain poster inferring RU was going to lose 1 or 2 commits a few weeks ago, he could mean from the current roster, or he could be full of it. Let's see if he bothers to respond.

The one defection that hurt but was not unexpected was Taylor. At Rutgers he may have been good. At Wisky he may be great..

Well where is HE to back up his own words? Typical. BTW - there very well could be another de-commit, or two, but NOBODY knows of any right now or imminent.

You're saying this like RU and Wisconsin have the same level of O-line. Taylor is awful if he has no blocking so what would he be getting credit for exactly?

Leaving our fine State...that's how little state pride we have !!!

A back is only as good as his offensive line. We could've had Ezekiel Elliot in our offense this year and he would've had 520 yards rushing.

He would have had more than that in the Howard game.

A good back can make the OL great and visaversa ...No pride...No dice !!!
Taylor is not that kind of rb. He has very little agility, he needs a line that can block, state pride or whatever has nothing to do with that.

Seems like he is a better fit for a team like Wisconsin from a style standpoint.

Taylor has elite speed and size.
What kind of success he achieves is impossible to predict.
People said the same thing about Steve Slaton...all he did was outrun everyone quite well.

Quick glance at your OP
I though we had no one who could hit with men on base.

A great RB has hips vision versatility and instincts..to me a good RB is a good RB..no other kind unless you're talking FB?

I really don't care what Wisky or even ND have...I'm all RU..all the time...I guess we recruited him for the reason we lost him then? That don't say much for where were headed then?

I'm still trying to figure out what happened to all of the posts in this thread about the guy with the flag of the slave states in his posts.
maybe you complained to the mods like a whiney liberal would?... i see some of your posts missing too

maybe the mods don't want discourse?... just a thought

RU lost Taylor and never tried recruiting him back. They lost Lovett and are currently fighting like hell to get him back in the fold. You do the math.

I've never complained to the mods about ANYTHING.
I still can't believe that they allow you to flaunt the flag of the slave states in every one of your posts.

J. Taylor averaged over 200 yds a game. In addition, he is the state 100 meter champ @ 210 lbs. He has the perfect dimensions for a B1G rb.
He plays against terrible competition, showed very little lateral quickness and doesn't look anywhere close to his track times on the field. He looks significantly slower than other 100m state champs over the years like Miles Shuler for instance. He's a much better athlete than 99% of any player he will face in hs but compared to other P5 rb recruits he is just lacking. Go look at his senior tape compared to Jon Lovett's senior tape for example.

I looked at his tape and I don't see him getting caught from behind. Miles Shuler was 165 lbs and was constantly getting hurt on the field. This kid is 210 lbs. Big difference.

He's not getting caught from behind because he'a playing against horrendous competition, if he gets caught from behind then he might not be a D1 recruit. The point is his acceleration is nowhere near the acceleration of other former nj 100m champs and his agility is nowhere near that of an elite rb recruit. He can be successful if he has huge holes to run through but he isn't going to make anything happen on his own.

I think good RB's can come in various forms. Obviously bigger RB's will have a different set of attributes then will smaller RB's.

I don't really know the story on Taylor, but the fact that he is in the conversation with a 165 lb wr, known predominantly for his 100m times, does speak well of any RB's straight away speed,.

Schuler was another disappointment. I actually think he would be good in the spread offense though.
