Anyone else watching it? Just saw the funniest (most blatant) flop by a PU player.

Monmouth player was driving and the PU player thought they were gonna bump so he threw his hands up in the air and fell backwards like he was just blindsided by an NFL linebacker. Meanwhile the Monmouth player spun away at the last second to avoid contact, made a pass to a now wide open teammate who made the three.

Would be nice if refs could call a technical foul on such a blatant flop, but the MU player making the three was good karma at least.

I have about 6,943 stations on Comcast but I don't have Princeton vs Monmouth, wish I did...

I was at the game----just a game of runs and Monmouth had the last one.

Robinson hit a 5 minute stretch late where he just went off.

Coach Carril would have a stroke watching Princeton play now.

See? That's why you don't want to stop playing the best local rival we could have this side of Seton Hall. They will not play the same way every year forever. Deal with it when it's like going to the dentist. Well worth being able to take over another team's gym -- which in this case really is a gym.

Play Princeton. Always. In everything but football.

Watched the UNC-Kentucky 100-98 game and chalked it up to 2 ultra skilled teams. Watched the 2nd half of this game and it looked very similar to UNC game.

I am afraid college basketball, in my eyes, has changed for the worse. With the 30 second shot clock and a changing skill set the great college game is morphing in to an NBA like game. Whats determined a good shot has certainly changed. Both teams threw up some wild shots and there isnt much being done off the ball. Some may like it, but not me.

I agree but I don't miss teams going to 4 corners with 5 minutes to play in a tight game either.

I hope that in the future, Rutgers will schedule both.

We also really need to sign a new series with Princeton.

Rutgers vs Princeton should always be a thing (maybe not football) but in all sports.

Forever and always.

There will be a point in time, hopefully, when we are looking to maximize RPI. If/when things get turned around we can play road games for RPI sake and have the buildings 1/3 to 1/2 red.

Princeton and Monmouth right now are good and probably better than us. Hopefully that will change.

The NSL suggested an early season 4 team doubleheader with the teams done at the Pru. every year and RU and SHU could rotate the opponents.

Personally I think that would draw good crowds.

We NEED to play neither of these two teams. The days of traditional scheduling are long gone... honestly I'm not sure how the Seton Hall thing is still going.

You make the schedule that best suits your team. If that includes Princeton, Monmouth etc fine...but I've never been disappointed about not playing somebody we don't recruit against

Monmouth is a heck of a team. They lost against a ranked South Carolina team on a last second shot in overtime. They could be 11-1 right now. They should be in the NCAA tourney this year.

You should also look at it from an academic standpoint. NCAA is a joke organization who forgets these kids go to college. Conferences should be geographic and not influenced by $ and politics. There is no reason these student athletes should ever have to get in an airplane save 1 tournament and a post season tournament.

How stupid is it that a woman's volleyball player has to take 6 or 7 airplane rides per year because of the $ of football and basketball.

we shall see, they should have been a NCAA team last year but they cannot get away with losing too many MAAC games in such a weak league
