Geo Baker.....31 points.....5 made 3's.....

Just got this passed over to me earlier this evening, not sure when the game was, but RU commit for 2017, Combo Guard, Geo Baker, went for 31 points and had 5 made 3's in a recent game.....big, big night and fits the bill for adding scoring punch and shooting range for next year.

What's best about Baker is he can play both guard positions and will not be forced into the lineup too soon, with guards that are seniors ahead of him in Nigel Johnson and Mike Williams, along with the obvious talented Sanders in the lineup as well.....Baker can ease himself into the rotation and if he performs, he'll earn minutes. He'll also get the culture of defense and leadership from Mike Williams, the experience of playing against a good tandem of Sanders and Johnson.

He also had 5 assists in this game which was Proctor's opener. The game was just a couple days ago. They also are playing this weekend.

I just checked Proctor's schedule. They play tomorrow at Worcester Academy at 4:30PM in a tournament vs. Marianapolis Prep. They will also play Sunday in the tournament.

Baker will get plenty of playing time next year if this year is any indication of how Pike will rotate players.

They played yesterday and won by 32, Geo had 23 points. They play again this afternoon.

I am very high on Baker. D1 is a different beast. 10 3's translates to 2 3's in college. His length, passing ability, work ethic, and shot will help here. We know Coach Pikiell likes to get his players feet wet. In that context, Baker will get drenched.

It will be fun. I know they played Brewster Academy and got lit up, like Mad mentioned.

Baker has a bright future here.
