My SlingTV went out when ball left hands on that first FT at :03.2
Glad there wasn't a buzzer beater...

Heart still beating! We came back from 10 down and not playing well. We would have packed it in last year, and now we fight. It's only Stony Brook, but they shot lights out and had many of the calls in the first half. Good win for our Knights. Yes sir!!

Can't believe they pulled it out, that was such a hard game to watch...but very happy with the result.

Any reason why Stony Brook wore Red at home?

(Sorry, tuned in late and no time to scroll through this thread)

Terrific win. Team doesn't quit. Even down 10, you could hold out hope because of the heart they play with. That's all Pike's doing. Great game by Nigel, but also 12 big rebounds by Freeman on a night he wasn't scoring. Sanders got hosed on at least two of his three offensive fouls, but still put in 13 and played good D down the stretch. Team played composed. Showed belief in each other. And beat a team shooting lights out most of the night on the road. A team, by the way, that went to the Dance last year, so those kids know how to win. Agree with others - best win of the year!!

Nine. And. One!

Good tough road win for this team. Nigel was great tonight drawing fouls and hitting FT,s.. love the fact team down 10 and again dealt with adversity and never got down just kept fighting. Good prep game win for BIG

I think that point is missed by a lot of us Rutgers fans who watched this game. Stony Brook is still a solid team even though the record doesn't reflect it right now. I suspect it will by the end of the season.

What a win by this team. Amazing that these guys and coaches know how to win even when all the odds are stacked against them. SHU shot lights out. Like I always say, the Big Ten teams may be good but nearly 40 points from the 3-pointers by the other team tonight, it's not like we're gonna line up across from OSU and they're gonna start making 4-pointers. If you see what I'm saying. Just saying. :) Great win

Just watched the replay. Any reason why we didn't foul at the end. We had fouls to give.

Different team this year. Last year we lose that game. Thank goodness for Nigel Johnson

This was one of the best road games I ever saw in person.Terrific atmosphere, game of spurts, amazing 3 point shooting by Stony Brook and outstanding play by Rutgers guards in the last 5 minutes.Like the Monmouth game a couple years ago it was the last missed 3 point shot of the game by Stony Brook with 3 seconds remaining that sealed the win for Rutgers. As fans remember Myles Mack made the 3 pointer against Monmouth.
As to the facility I liked the concourse prior to entering the arena.Like the RAC, the crowd noise was very loud and impacted the poor Rutgers foul shooting in the early parts of the game. There were a couple sections with Rutgers fans.Leaving the arena I saw Marco Battaglia and told him Rutgers needs a tight end .He laughed and gave me a hand shake.

Any one? Think this was a big mistake by the staff.

Not sure, didn't make sense to me. Especially once Stony Brook got the ball inside the arc before kicking it back out for that three. Not really sure what Pikiell and staff have done in the past in those situations, some coaches swear by fouling there, others don't.
