How to watch B10 plus tonight?

It's funny, people have always said cable TV is a ripoff because you are forced to pay for a ton of channels you will never watch. Now BTN offers you exactly you want - subscription TV and that's a rip off.

This is would make sense if BTN/BTN+ were packaged together a la carte. Paying for BTN w/cable, then having to pay for certain games is slightly ridiculous.

The point is games like this wouldn't be televised. This gives you a way to watch it very inexpensively.

I'm not blaming Rutgers, this is a BTN issue for me. It should be covered by their network, streamed online, requiring a cable network log in the same way ESPN does theirs. The cost isn't the issue, it could be $1 and I'd have an issue.

Pretty sure the Big Ten makes enough money without looking for $10 a month from people for lesser viewed events.

Rutgers vs. North Texas on Thanksgiving Eve just isn't going to draw the eyeballs to make sending a TV crew to the game worthwhile in terms of advertising dollars. So they have to make the cost up in other ways. Like someone else said, three years ago a game like this would've never been available to watch anywhere.

I remember having to listen to Rutgers-Va Tech hoops (and other games like RU-Nova, etc) on the radio during the Waters years because they weren't available anywhere on television.

I don't think this is true. Before Rutgers joined the Big Ten RVision was telvising these games (for free).

That being said I personally don't mind the cost (I pay for a BTN+ Rutgers only subscription). I would have paid 9.99 a month for RVision as well.

It's 2016 bordering 2017. Viewing options of 3 years ago, let alone 10 plus, can't be compared to now. Cost for BTN to give access to the video is minimal compared to the past. They're milking it throwing in any MBB games along with access to the Olympic sports. The correct model is what SEC Network & ESPN do. Games on SEC+ are accessible online if you log in with a cable provider account that proves you subscribe to SECN.

The price isn't astronomical, I just have an issue with the fact they charge at all. Fox owns 51% of the network, they can deal without the extra charge.

Just my two cents.

Not to mention if you're a recruit, family member or friend of a player who wants to watch the game why should you have to pay money to do so? Accessibility only helps recruiting.

For those of you who justify the cost with "years ago these games would have not been televised," are falling into the addiction which was first created by cable TV, over 50 years ago. Don't fall for the Bullsh*t. First they offer it very cheaply, you get hooked on the advantages of getting it, then the prices begin to rise, after which you are completely in a "can't live without it mode." Look at texting as an example, this form of communication cost the companies absolutely nothing, but we are conditioned to think the cost is essential. People who feel this is without a doubt the only way to communicate, and think calling someone is rude, are willing to pay $50. or more for the service. Supply and Demand. Supply it, then they will Demand it at any cost.
We are our own price setters, from a steak at the market to the latest game on the IPhone, keep paying for things you really don't HAVE to have, and corporations will continue to raise the price.
I chose to read about a low level game in the local paper tomorrow, go out to dinner with the family tonight, and enjoy the night my way. But, that's just me.

Ok.. Enjoy what will probably be a mediocre, overpriced dinner while we watch the game in person or on line.

I signed up for the monthly pass and I see it auto renews but I don't see a way to cancel. How did other people cancel since I only need it this month?

You can email them to cancel. Look on one of the drop down menus on btn2go.com, and you'll see a Cancel BTN Plus link that will bring up an email.

OK, I will. But, at least with that dinner someone brings me the various dishes, in a display fashion, with a thank you, and can I get you anything else sir....while I'm getting fu8ked. With you, well you know..... Choices, it's all about the choices...:)

See, that's exactly my point. One that you are too young to remember. When Cable TV was first introduced, we thought it was great, no commercials, specialized programming, and FREE! Yes, it was free. Until they got you. And that is how it all started. BTN, is offering everyone the simplicity of their deepest desires, cheap. Then when that desire becomes a norm., the price will be increased for an additional service(whatever that may be). It's one big scam, which we fall for over, and over again.
The answer.....DO WITHOUT! A novel idea, I know, but if you ever want to be able to control pricing, or the things that you pay for, then DO WITHOUT.

It's less than the price of two pretzels at the RAC. Has nothing to do with the phony arguments above about things being free before and profit-making enterprises milking it, etc, etc. Rationalizing. Always astounded at the tightfistedness of Rutgers fans and alumni. The depression is over. It is no crime to spend (an insignificant amount of) money on things you enjoy. What is the cost of single-game parking at the RAC?

Well, you can listen on the radio for free. Until a few short years ago that was the only option if you couldn't make it to these low-profile non-conference games. $3 and change to watch a game from home is a great deal.

I don't think the price is bad, but I wish they had an BTN app for PlayStation so I can stream to my TV. I know there is probably an app for Roku or AmazonFire or something else, but I don't want to put out any more money for streaming devices, and I don't like watching stuff on my laptop/ tablet because I get distracted.

If you have a google chromecast ($30-$35) you can cast from the btn2go app to your tv

Just signed up and am watching the game. Technology rules. Didn't even think of doing this the past few years, given our level of play.

I used to complain when I couldn't see most games on TV and hated listening on the radio. For anyone complaining about the cost of the 9.99 subscription, listen to it on the radio.

When you get to the page where you put your credit card info in, there is a box you can unclick that shuts off the auto renew. We'll see in a month if that actually happens.

Being able to watch pretty much every soccer, basketball, wrestling match and more on my tv for $9.95 a month that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to watch? Sign me up.

This is nonsense. This game would have been on RVision if it wasn't forced behind a pay wall by the Big Ten.
RVision was better than nothing but it was one camera angle and no replays. No comparison to BTN Plus.
