My buddy is a Highland Park cop and working stadium Saturday. He's telling me do to the Seaside/NYC incidents, the lots aren't opening until 12 and is being enforced. Anyone hear anything about that? I planned on getting there in the morning.

Why now? There has been a game played since. Hopefully not true. Sounds shaky to me. The early birds are all well known. Plus why make your chance to search shorter.

You can still get in whenever. Lots always have an "opening time" every game..but its never enforced.

Doubt you'll have an issue.

I don't disagree and normally would just blow it off, but with everything that has been going on, I figured I ask. I'll be there early regardless

12 noon is the time the Security crews are arriving. Which is 2 hours earlier for the start time. Has nothing to do with the "opening of the lots"
Someone needs to change title of this thread

Exactly. If I wanted to go over now and set up, who's going to stop me? Not like these are gated lots that can be locked. The HP cop is lost.

The seaside /NYC incidents where 2 weeks ago, and we have already had a home game during it.

This is a silly post and should be deleted as the cop is misinformed and deceminating incorrect information

I also heard they are going to start enforcing the no tent canopy rule and you can only have 4 people per tailgate.

Thanks terrorists.

Surprised no one is commenting about getting the Athletic Dept. email now advising absolutely no outside food allowed in addition to the prior edict of no sealed bottles of water:

Please Note The Following Stadium Policies:

  • No food or beverages of any kind can be brought into the stadium. While we understand the inconvenience this may cause, safety is always Rutgers Athletics' top priority.
  • Rutgers Athletics maintains a strict bag policy. Handbags, purses larger than a clutch bag, backpacks, drawstring bags, fanny packs, camera bags, and more are prohibited from the stadium.
  • Umbrellas are prohibited from the stadium. Other prohibited items include: outside food and beverages, bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages, coolers, selfie sticks, noisemaking devices, balloons, laser pointers, pets (with the exception of guide dogs), balls, weapons, sticks/poles, containers, fireworks, and any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate.
  • Saturday, October 8th is Stripe The Birthplace! Even numbered sections wear SCARLET, odd-numbered sections wear BLACK.

Oh and by the way...they want you to buy their $25 commemorative Stripe the Birthplace T-shirt.

Sorry, my budget's gonna be busted on $6 bottles of water. Assuming I'm going I'll wear my one black t-shirt, can wear the FREE t-shirt I received from the B1G Network or FREE black polo shirt sent to me for FREE by Kevin Mac (as thanks for my non monatory "donation" before I lost all of my priority points re same).

Way to endear the experience of potentially new Fooftball Fans .....which this program desperately needs. Don't even think about bringing your stink'n water into our $tadium.

"No food or beverages permitted"

The Money Grab disguised as Security is getting worse .

Any terrorist can simply stick their bottle of explosives in their pants or under their poncho. And now food too? They got to be kidding. Again anyone w bad intentions will easily get through unless they are doing 50,000 pat downs.

MONEY GRAB

If it's truly that dangerous maybe we should all stay home.

Does the stadium have any snack options for people with blood sugar/diabetic issues? The stadium food is absolute crap in that regard. The burgers are inedible. Bringing bags of nuts that I will tuck under my shirt.

My guess is hat the OP never rips the tag off of mattresses, you know, the one that says "Do not remove under penalty of law".

I get (kinda ) the bottles. They have had the bag rule for a few years and have just really started enforcing it. Every stadium has a bag rule and ours is pretty lax compared to other schools.

but wtf is wrong with bringing in your own candy or a sandwich?
