You know they are going to have a brutal week of practice after losing today. Hoping they are exhausted when they get here.

After their tough loss, we may end up being a whipping boy. Hopefully they were overrated.

TBH, everyone is overrated until at least game 5. Iowa was ranked based on last year. It's a new year, especially when it comes to CFB

Last year was more of the exception than the norm when it comes to Kirk Ferentz teams. 17+ seasons, 129 wins, 87 losses. Smells like 8-5 to me.

I would say with a bad QB, our chances arent going to be too hot. Keeping it close is going to come down to erasing the awful starts and winning the turnover battle and getting the crowd to be a factor. I would think RU is still more than two td underdog

Iowa is going to destroy us. That's not being "negative" or "trolling," it is reality.

With our pathetic QB play , expect the next 3 teams to destroy us. Our ceiling is 3 or 4 wins this year.
Not trolling.

Next week is not going to be an easy game for us guys, never was going to be an easy game for us, regardless of Iowa's loss today.

Its very difficult seeing Rutgers compete successfully in the B1G with mediocre quarterback play, no pass rush from the defensive line and sleepwalking in the first quarter.

Instead of worrying about their post loss anger we should be reveling in the fact that they got whooped by North Dakota freaking state. At home!!!! It tells me they ain't so tough and are beatable Stop fearing their history ..

last years sad team nearly, and probably should have, beaten a legit MSU team at home last year.

I'm not betting the ranch here but of course we have a chance. Iowa may be no better than the 5th best B1G this year.

North Dakota State had 5 straight wins against FBS teams before beating Iowa. They've also won 5 straight FCS championships.

Well, ****, why don't we just forfeit the game. Tell the kids to sleep in.

They put their pants on the same way we do, put pads and jerseys on the same, and helmets.

Maybe we lose, maybe we win but I think it's premature to write us off.

Let's look at the match-up. How much team speed do they have? Do we have to account for Bethard in their run game? Do their outside receivers require us to give help leaving their (I'm assuming) good tight end to be covered one on one by our line backers?

I agree our offense will have its hands full because our QB play is subpar (putting it nicely) but the strength of their D is their secondary. Can we run on them? If so I anticipate us being in the game. I could be wrong but this isn't a matchup for our D that concerns me. Our offense, however, will be our downfall.

The two teams in the west division that can light us up and have the past 2 years are not on the schedule. Iowa is not a program that traditionally just reloads every year. I'm not saying we beat them but this needs to be pointed out.

I think they're going to follow the script which has already been written. Stack the box and blitz, shake up their QB. Make Laviano beat you. Because right now odds are heavily favored that he can't. Offensively throw on them, because they have no pass rush and their secondary and LB's are suspect. Until these things improve this will probably be the script which will lead to our ultimate demise.

No one in their right mind thinks we will win.

So there is no pressure on us. Rutgers just need to not crap the bed the 1st quarter and just play loose and keep fighting and never give up and see what happens.

Yeah just like you told us all New Mexico is a lock at +5.5. Was that not trolling or being negative and just reality also. Good call on that one pal.

I get encouraged about our chances if a supposed weak team beats the team we play next..... The weak team shows it can be done

I don't think an angry Iowa team that lost plays better against us than they would have, had they won.

..... The only difference For us is, if they do get ahead, they do not let up on us as early as they might have...... Where you wind up losing anyway, just the score gets worse.

But not a difference between winning and losing.

Except that North Dakota State is not a weak team.

I admit not following their program. Were they big underdogs. I would have guessed they were
