We got 4 QBs game time so far this season and went 2-1. Gave Iowa multiple guys to prepare for. Let it roll

Why is it a sin to bring up Rettig? People still think that he is the best thrower on this team. He scored a TD against OSU last year. Nobody always gets it right not even this caoching staff.

Didn't say it was a sin. It is however silly.

He's a QB for another system. We are taking the growing pains to install a different type of O and he's not right for it. Do I think we should move on from Laviano as well? yes. take the lumps with the mobile QBs this year, but Rettig has been passed on by 3 different coaching staffs at 2 different schools. That's not a positive sign hence my comment of people needing to stop pining for him.

Well, I disagree but I also gave up as well. I would be very excited if it happened.

Pulled it together and got the win. Good job coming back by the guys and the coaches.. Two things moving forward: 1) we need to come out ready to play, upcoming teams are way too good to spot points to. 2) we need to get better play out of the quarterback position. If we don't the rest of the season will be LONGGGGGG.

Well, team rebounded well. Still don't understand the QB rotation, other than Laviano is not good. He is serviceable just barely. I would have liked to see Gio in there at the end, we already know he can run. Maybe he can throw.

Anyway, we played decent toward the end. Gotta be happy with a nice fall day and a W.

How mad are you that we won? I like this post

We came out losing 21-0. Ash has not had these guys ready to play at kickoff 3 weeks in a row. The only good team we played kicked the hell out of us. We will see what happens next week. I'm here every week rooting for the team I'm concerned about how bad we come out.

Also, when winning a Game, why run hurry up and throw? Im sorry that I'm not down with the Inquisition and the dogma, but I have questions about Ash so far. I hope he succeeds but so far yes there r some questions.

Its time for Il Lusciato to head over to Floods for a good timeout session...dude your posts today were laughable..it went way behind the normal panic of being down 21-0 and you and basically have **** on a very important hard fought win

Not crazy about spotting Los Lobos 21 points to start the game, but Ash/Niemann/Mehringer held a team together and kept them focused in spite of the obvious hole they dug for themselves. In the long run, that's a good skill set to have in the gene pool.

How many years did we spend lamenting a coaching staff who couldn't "make adjustments?"

Well done, Scarlet Knights.

Amen to that last bit. Rather have a "final 3/4s" team than the ol "1st half" teams of the past.

3 games so far, Flood's players, new scheme--it is very early to trash Ash. To do so generally means one was either a Flood supporter or wanted a different coach and has an aversion to being wrong, or snubbed, to the point of being unreasonable.

A win is a win, but this game shows a probable QB problem and the D might need
more work.
I'll not blame Ash for NM's O looking good at times or how RU's O seemed not to
take control of the game when they had a chance.
Nor will I try to blame flood for RU not overpowering the Lobos when RU was on offense or destroying New Mexico with RU's D.
Blaming Flood is just BS for NM playing RU tough, but excusing Ash for a close win over NM is excusable considering he's installing a new style offense without a roster full of players recruited for it.
Rutgers won because they have a better roster, but RU does have a lot of problems that might keep RU from being competitive when it plays the better B1G programs
and might have a hard time beating the bottom feeders.
Hopefully I'm wrong and Rutgers will be a middle of pack program under Ash until he gets the type of roster he needs to get his O & D the way he wants it.
I don't blame Flood or the players he recruited, they just don't fit Ash's system.
Especially the QBs he inherited

On the QB part , seems like RU has always had one that RU fans weren't satisfied with since the Terry Shea days and that includes Mike McMahon.
Teel, Nova, Savage, Dodd and Cupit were bashed and Hart was chastised for not having a strong arm.
