Since youre the ScarletNation.com Off Topic Police, I suggest you go here so that you can annoy the hell out of the people in those threads and tell them to get off Scarletnation.com.

If you was like this about Pizza, Music, and about every other OT thread, I would maybe see your point. But you dont have venom for those threads as you do with the Mets thread. And I dont see you going after anyone else but me the way you did, even though you may have forgoten that i wipe my *** with what you think.

Besides if this Mets thread and ONLY this Mets thread is so freaking heinous to your upstanding standards, all you have to do is ignore this thread just like most of the posters here have ignored your piddly self.

In other words. Your full of sh** and pissed off that Im not taking your sh**!!!!

I'm actually exactly like this on any number of threads on this board. Sometimes I ignore them. Sometimes I post my opinions...... no matter who doesn't care for them.
That's my call.
Like I said....if you're looking for group love you're on the wrong board. Go visit a mets board.

You'd be surprised how little any of that matters to me. You can hide with mr. met for all I care.
I don't post for your responses. I post for how it makes me feel.

So i guess you gonna have me banned because I talk on these OT threads that I didnt start lol.

[banana][banana][banana]

You're really off base here.
I don't really have a problem with any OT threads. And I've posted many times in opposition to those who complain about them.
And I've never been in favor of anyone being banned.....period.
Well....maybe Rutgersal.

Yup, that NLEAST really looks inferior to the ALEAST so far. One team at .700, a couple at .600 and another over .500. Heard a Yankee fan on the fan today, still spouting that tired line about how weak the Mets schedule is and how the Yankees would have the same record. Cut me a friggin break, it's over, your time has passed for the near future. The Mets are better, and you should come to grips with that.

Yeah...great prediction.
Gotta get some more of THAT.

You no read so good, eh ?
My comment was in regards to the Yanks basically giving up on the season, trading three of their best players for prospects, and attempting to rebuild for the future....yet STILL having the exact same record as the mets. Yet mets fans think they're in a pennant race.
They look at their remaining schedule and think they see "easy teams" to beat and that they'll make some kinda playoff push...you know...when all of their "stars" get back. Little do they know that the teams left on their schedule are most likely counting the mets as one of THEIR "easy teams".to beat.
Good times.
Yup even better prediction. Are they in a playoff push or not? Good Times, lol See I can check archives too.

Well then it seems as if no one should pay any attention to either one of us when we predict the future.
Anyhow, I wouldn't exactly call it a prediction to say that after their next three games vs. the Nationals the mets have ZERO quality teams left on their schedule....NONE against any team that's not just playing out the string on a miserable season.
And that the Yanks....other than three more vs. the Rays...have nothing but top teams left on THEIR schedule.
Don't you think you should send a Thank You card or maybe an Edible Arrangement to the schedule-maker for giving the mets such a gift ?

"Well then it seems as if no one should pay any attention to either one of us when we predict the future".Wow, that first line you wrote is the only thing you've said since our back and forth debates about Mets and Yankees that I agree with. Finally a middle ground, lmao.:grimace:

There is medication you can get for this, you know.

While you butthurt Yankee fans are fawning over our pitching staff, Google the following.

Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and MIchael Conforto first 78 major league games...

It ain't even close.

Of course it's true. It's also true that it's a perfect example of how some mets fans need a little help in putting stuff in perspective. Does the name Kevin Maas mean anything to you ?
BTW, is Conforto still in Las Vegas ?

My perspective is fine. It's called being excited about the potential of one of your youngest players. At the time, he was ripping the cover off the ball. It's what non miserable c sucking fans like yourself do. They get excited and use stats to back up positions.

Only people who need to pull their car into the garage and take a few deep breathes would spend as much time dissing another team as you do.

Thank you very much.
Actually, the mets aren't the only team I've been "dissing". Check with the Temple board for that.
Although with the mets my streak has been going since 1962. Except for '69 and '86 it's been pretty enjoyable. And 2000 was awesome.

Did I say how much I loathe/loathed letting Murphy walk out the door? Just an assumed loss every time we match up against this team now.
The ironic thing is that nobody wanted Murph, at least not as their first option. For both the Nats and the Mets, Plan A at second base was Ben Zobrist. After the Cubs signed Zobrist, both teams looked to the trade route as Plan B. The Mets targeted Neil Walker and got him. The Nats targeted Brandon Phillips and didn't get him. So they moved on to Plan C, and we know the rest of the story.

So sick of him and his walk machine. Classic example of a pitcher who has no faith in his stuff. Had a 7+ era at Triple A and we have to throw him in a playoff race,Christ.
True, but any team who loses four guys (I'm including Wheeler) from its projected playoff race rotation is going to have issues. Not too many quality #9 starters on major league rosters.

Want somebody else? There's Verrett, Ynoa, Gilmartin... name your poison.

In other news, Backman resigns at Vegas. (That's "resigns", no hyphen, which would change the meaning considerably.) There is apparently some question as to whether the resignation was voluntary.

This sounds vaguely familiar to a another popular topic on this board.

Bad Montero tonight

No more Montero please!!!

Don't think you guys are giving him a fair shot. Terry should have given him a few more innings. [roll]
I have never seen Nelson Figueroa more animated and negative in a post game show.

LMAO, and you saw what maybe,6 of those and 2 you don't remember? Remember, if you don't make the playoffs, the 6-10 against the ones that "don't count" will be the reason.
Seasons are binary - you either win the WS or you don't. I saw 7, but 2 I don't remember. It's not about making the playoffs, it's about building a WS quality team. That's what we have seen over the month and why NYY fans are so excited.

And only 2 more against the NL, Thank God right Kbee?

Nope. I know a team is only as good as tomorrow's starting pitcher and any team can beat any other team on a given day....Yada yada yada.
But you show any OBJECTIVE observer the mets remaining schedule and the Yankees remaining schedule (or any other team's for that matter) and after they stop laughing you should ask them which one they'd rather their team have to face.
Enjoy your last two games vs. a team with a winning record. And please don't forget that Thank You note to the schedule-maker.
