Netcong - Mumbai - pretty much the same right? Ha ha those are two different places. Would love to visit Mumbai/India someday. Closest I'll get is Malaysia in the next year or so.

Grew up much of the later part of my childhood in Byram area but I think I've got a decade on you.

My wife wants to be close to her brother and mother who live in Bear/New Castle. I ASKED my wife to move to Townsend because it's halfway between her family and my brother in Dover. I really don't want to move. The only good thing about Delaware is the cost of living/taxes are cheaper than NJ.

Taxes....low, but the schools aren't that great

I live about 20 minutes from Wilmington on the PA side

Love it over here

Lived in Wilmington, NC 25 years ago, and loved it--some called it a mini-Charleston. One thing I found odd/disturbing in Wilmington was quite a few locals seemed fixated on the Civil War. Had a real estate agent refer to it as "the war Y'all lost." LOL. I retorted that "Y'all wasn't there, and y'all's y'alls were not there either since they were in Europe at the time." That shut her up. Do you have these types in Charleston?

Some of the long time Charlestonians still bring that up but most of this area is full of transplants from NY/NJ, Mid Atlantic, Washington State (Because of Boeing), and the midwest. Lots of folks from Upstate SC as well. You've really got to dig around to find a born and bred Charlestonian though.
