Like the mets have a slew of key players.
You better hope they win tonight or you may be just about out of excuses.
Agreed. After all the bluster and proclamations about the Mets greatness, if they lose tonight, they will have the identical record as the awful Yanks!

Roster moves aplenty:
  • Bruce and Niese activated
  • Cabrera and Ruggiano to DL
  • Nimmo down, Kelly up
  • Lugo down, Edgin up.
Dumb. Nimmo should still be up as he's the only true CFer. Aside from Reynolds' unexpected big night last night, it's cecchini who should be up at short. Kelly is worthless. Lugo was worthless so that's a good move. I think they might actually be playing with a full 25 man roster tonight, having 23 surely was a part of the problem last night.

Edit: it's 24 as cespedes may or may not get a PH at bat tonight

Whatever. Having a crap ton of talent, yes talent ya jerks, on the DL or out is definitely a true issue and not just an excuse. The Yankees don't really have any talent to be on the DL right now. Love how you guys put the mets as the forefront of the comparison though, been a while since that's happened. How's that feel?

Disagree. Nimmo should not be sitting on the bench. Unless TC is going to use him every day, which he is not, then send him down and let him play. I suspect Cecchini's days as a shortshop are numbered.

KBEE, you missed my point. Walker has done that at least three times in the last month. He acts like he has to swing at 3-1 pitch, nothing to do with the Yanks. A little patience at the plate.

That I agree with. its just dumb to not have him start again righties everyday in the first place. And Cheech might be the 2b of the future at this point so you could be on to something there as well

Man you guys are obnoxious. I don't understand why you feel the need to troll so hard. Can't even have a baseball conversation with any of you...
Who are "you guys?" I put the trolls on ignore -one who has a demented looking rat for an avatar and the other one who lost his girlfriend to Matt Harvey, and life is good. Would never consider the level of d-baggery they stoop to in a Yankee thread--would not even bother posting. Stay classy.

Is Brett Gardener all there? Gunned down last night, hissy fight tonight on called third strike, and just whiffed on a ball to left field hit by Conforto. He's awful.

The list of Yankees batters that have been doing exactly that is quite long.
It starts with Gregorius and Castro...who both need to learn that it's O.K. to walk once in a while.

Worst start of tanakas career came against the Mets and degrom, the pitcher you said tanaka was better than. Even though it is obvious that just isn't true. Well they went head to head and tanaka was straight awful and our guy was ace-like. Care to admit you were wrong? or do you chose to lose more of my respect as well as everyone else on this boards' respect even further by staying a turd troll..? Bahhhh forget it im wasting my time. You've already lost all of our respect :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Would you make a straight up trade for degrom and Tanaka? As a Met fan I'd say no F'n way. As a Stankee fan, I'd bet you'd cream your pants for that deal.
.
Tanaka = 7th in the AL for ERA, 7-2 record
deGrom = 10th in the NL for ERA, 6-5 record

Oops, I love fans of the JV team.
Yup, Tanaka looks to be way better with a far better future than deGram,LMAO.

Love it when fans of the JV team cling to the results of one game. Very smart for baseball! That post was on the money. Tanaka was having a better season and that was the question. Feel free to update the data and repost.

Yanks having their worst season in memory and the "powerhouse" Flushing Mutts are how many games better?

Yanks will still win this series and further ruin the Mutts season

If Tanaka was having a better season, it is because deGrom went through a "tired arm" stretch when he lost his velocity. That is now behind him. DeGrom is the better pitcher now, and I believe will be for years to come.

Perhaps Tanaka just entered a "tired arm" stretch.

He's not having a better season any way shape or form. so there's no point in even bringing up the tired arm thing. Degrom has a 2.41 ERA compared to tanaka 3.46. That's a friggin full run, ITS NOT CLOSE!

Perhaps Tanaka just entered a "tired arm" stretch.
Or maybe he should've had TJS 2 years ago like everyone knows he should've..? What a maroon

One game? No. I'm clinging to an entire season, and an entire career vs another season/career. And my boys still better than your boy and always has been. You crying yet? Looks like you have the JV team now *** clown. Why are you still talking?

Get out of here with your W-L records and thinking they are relevant. This is 2016, not 1916.

Back to the regularly scheduled programming instead of arguing with hideous trolls all the time...

This guy conforto is starting to heat up again, looking like the conforto we all grew to expect. That's a big deal. A 1-8 order of reyes, granderson, Cespedes, bruce, walker, Conforto, Loney, darnaud can be pretty lethal...

Potential to be a nice combo of speed, power, and batting average. add a healthy duda put him 6th behind walker and slide conforto and darnaud down further, with Loney/ flores off the bench? Wow. Sandy put a pretty good roster together assuming health. Lets get Jose back and get hot down the stretch here!

Nice try. What are their W/L records? :)

FYI - Quality outing for Matz. But I guess this is his dead arm period as well, so it doesn't count.
