Does anyone thing any of our great incoming class breaks the lineup next year? Just curious what you guys think. It's safe to say we won't be getting any transfers.
Worked well for Nico why not keep it going with Nick.Does anyone else find it interesting that PSU is planning to start Suriano as a true freshman over using a RS first year on him?
Unfortunately, I do not see Paetzall being able to compete with McCabe next season
McCabe has steadily gotten better every season.
He is a solid D1 wrestler and is underrated by most people (I believe)
Yes, McCabe will likely not be an AA next season, but I see him making the tournament next year and winning a match or two.
Isn't Normandia a light HWT ? Correnti should be able to start right away imo just a matter if he wants to take a RS year.I think Correnti could push Normandia at Heavyweight. Not sure if Paetzall could get to 125 (I think he can) and give McCabe some trouble.
Hard to see Paetzall being a big upgrade over Mccabe in his true freshman year...Even though Paetzell was injured, he wasn't even ranked in the top 20 of his weight class so hard to see him doing better then a returning national qualifier. Even if Paetzell was winning in the room its hard to see Goodale starting him as a true freshman and Mccabe on the bench for his senior year.We simply disagree. McCabe is very tough and gritty, but not elite and struggled mightily for Big10 wins. He lost almost every Big10 bout from early January to the end of the season and in the Big 10 tourny as well. Paetzall is very, very talented. If he stays healthy, he's going to be a force on the Big 10 scene. He barely wrestled in 2 years due to broken hand or thumb yet was a missed take down call away from winning the NJ States. Paetzall could have wrestled 126 this past season, but elected 132 to avoid Suriano (IMO). 132 wound up being a very tough weight class anyway.
I could see Paetzall Red Shirting if Coach G doesn't think Paetzall is a big upgrade however. The wrestle offs should be very interesting.
Paetzell would have easily been a top 20 national wrestler had he not gotten hurt.Hard to see Paetzall being a big upgrade over Mccabe in his true freshman year...Even though Paetzell was injured, he wasn't even ranked in the top 20 of his weight class so hard to see him doing better then a returning national qualifier. Abro,
I have not seen paetzall wrestle but I like hearing that people think he can compete right away for the starting spot.
As everyone listed, a good problem to be had.
How is Mackall? Is he going to wrestle 125/133?
If we are looking at Team performance at the NCAA Tournament as the barometer of success, I would expect most of the freshman to redshirt. (Maybe one of the upperweights gets thrown into the lineup)
Realistically, who is going to wrestle at 165 next year? I wouldn't think Richie Lewis bumps up a weight. He seemed like he was a natural at 157 (I don't know if he was cutting a lot of weight during the season.
Not so fast my friend..Fridays been anointed "Tranfer Day" by Creedo himself!Does anyone thing any of our great incoming class breaks the lineup next year? Just curious what you guys think. It's safe to say we won't be getting any transfers.
Heard during NCAAs that NS would redshirt soph year, with SL going 125I think Suriano wrestles as a true freshman 2016-17 and true sophomore 2017-18. Spencer Lee comes in Fall 2017 and then starts in 2018-19. Suriano redshirts in 2018-19, moves up a weight, transfers, or has issues. An plethora of riches at PSU.

Teaching Dan Gable and Jordan Burroughs about wrestling. He is,after all, the absolute authority. I know this as he has so often and modestly stated this.where is Creepo!!
