Board of Regents kept him hanging for over a week before approving his contract and 2 voted against it. Not a good way to start. Apparently goes back to when they fired Rollie and found out he had a "secret" contract that added a cool $1 million to his exit parachute. Stupid. Plus, UNLV is down to about 4 scholie players, if that, since some transferred or hired agents for the NBA. Total rebuild here.

Bad news for his agent and representatives as well as Beard's credibility and intelligence. Usually you get the family stuff squared away first before making commitments. How old are his daughters?

Can't talk about handicapping UNLV. They fired their coach in like January. They had the most time of any school to focus on who they wanted.

He was also an assistant there for 9 years. Memphis owes TT $900K which they will forward to UNLV with anther $100K. That'll teach UNLV to take II days to ratify his contract.
