taking prednisone for tinnitus. Prescribed steroid to lessen inflammation in inner ear, but the past week feeling more bullet proof, a little jumpy, but controlled. Who will confess to what steroids feel like when your girlfriend slipped you one in your root beer. Ear still screaming.

I tried prednisone for my tinnitus, didn't work a bit. Prednisone is an extremely strong systemic steroid that most Ear specialists will tell you don't work for vast majority of tinnitus sufferers . , BUT will give it to a patient who is complaining sooo much about their ear ringing just to get them out of the office. I eventually learned to live with mine. Hearing aids still probably the best solution, but I'm trying to put it off. Loud bars and rooms make the condition worse. I've had tinnitus for about 10 years now. Good luck !
Thats because most of the issues that plague us are inflammatory processes. I wouldnt take prednisone though unless all dietary options were exhausted first.

I imagine that's why, for poison ivy, they have a 6 day cycle that hits it strong then cuts the dose each day.

Not sure everyone realizes but there are different types of steroids. Anabolic steroids promote growth of tissue and muscle. Catabolic steroids, like prednisone, have the exact opposite effect. They breakdown tissue, etc. reason they're prescribed I'd because, as someone alluded to earlier, inflammation drives a ton of health symptoms.
I've taken a Predisone course for the last 3 winters for a lung condition. Orally, typical dosage last for 12 days w/10mg pills, 4X3 days, 3X3 days., 2X3 days, 1X3 days. During this time I feel like Superman. Don't need any sleep and can work like a maniac with hightened mental awareness. Problem is that about 4-5 days after the last dosage I get hit with a physical/mental slump that makes me feel zombified for approx. a week.
I believe Winstrol is what Ben Johnson was using when he was disqualified after winning the 100 meter gold in the 1988 Olympics.
