(Okay I edited the title so as to not upset anybody else lol!)

1st round was pretty good no complaints here.

2nd round not so much other than the TAMU comeback and a couple of tight games it started to get a little "blah" on Saturday IMHO.

Thursday - 4 games that were pretty much never in question (Maryland stuck around until half)
Friday - 2 games that were never in question
Sat - 1 game never in question

....that's 7 of 10 games played thus far this weekend that I either turned off, tuned out, or talked to the girl closest to me at the bar instead, during.

Obviously I'll still tune in, tonight, don't get me wrong! [cheers]

I don't mind that some of these recent games were not close but I have no interest in watching the ACC semifinals today strictly because it is all one conference, and not ours at that.

I had the pleasure of watching that Oklahoma kid drain 3 after 3 against Team Nike. Not exciting, but like viewing fine art.

Games that are never in question don't necessarily bore me. I would think that would impact people who don't normally follow college basketball and only pay attention to the tournament.

Never bored. For sure not every game is a cliffhanger and not every team brings its A game every night, but for a college hoops fan, there is nothing better. Just think, you could be watching baseball or , heaven forbid, soccer.

Not at all..one of the most exciting tourneys I have seen...bowl season, now that's boring

Explain to me how this tourney is "one of the most exciting you've EVER seen"? I clearly laid out my reasons, especially for the past 3 days, just curious what makes you think this one is "exciting"? Thanks!

BTW - I knew this would be your response, right down to the "bowl season" part, lol!

I agree with Bac..has overall been a very exciting tournament.

Again, can you at least explain "why"? See I don't care how good a team is, or how athletic, or how beautiful their stud shoots the ball, I want to see competitive games, especially in the Sweet 16/Elite 8/Final 4, and we're simply not getting them (so far).

2 games on Friday night were exciting, the Nova game last night was exciting, 3 games on Sunday were exciting, the first round..especially friday, was great.

Yes, lots of blowouts (which u seem to be focusing on, and that's fine). But seems like there's also a lot more close, last second games than normal too, which to me makes up for the blowouts.

So I guess watching Hields play left you disconsolate

I underestimated your shallowness. I thought you were a fan, not a groupie. Watching Duke lose is always a thing of beauty. Watching Buddy Hields play is a privilege.North Carolina ran a clinic against the B1G champ;Virginia thwarted every run that ISU tried to make; Villanova was a tsumami of offense against Miami-shooting over 67% from three; both teams shot over 50% from the field. And those were the blowouts. Notre Dame and Syracuse wins went to the wire. Bored? Find another sport.

See I liked the 1st round, a lot, but then the 2nd round things started going downhill, IMHO, would've been a lot better off if Northern Iowa, Wichita State, and Stephen F Austin had won their games, although the SFA meltdown and TAMU comeback was great in it's own way. Just that the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, thus far - again IMHO - have been "snoozers" for the most part. Again, only 3 of the 10 games were tight, so HOPEFULLY we get 2 GREAT games today.

"shallowness"?? LOL, wow okay! I am a "fan." A fan of competitive games when I watch a tournament. Buddy Hields is fantastic, no question and I absolutely love the show he is putting on out there, but I can watch him for the next 15 years. THIS tournament, the 2016 NCAA Men's Tournament, is a one-shot deal, however, and my OP isn't about "individual play."

Thanks for the concern but I will continue to watch the game I grew up playing daily, and still love, nonetheless! It's just my opinion, btw, no need to be a douche. [cheers]

I definitely agree there's been snoozers, and I see your point. But again, to me, the excitement of the games that have been close have made this tournament a great one.

Agree, here's to a great night of games. And here's to a cuse and nd loss..

My Lord yes please! The worst was being in a bar the other night with a group of 'Cuse fans rooting on ND as they made their officiating-helped-comeback" vs Wiscy. I wanted to jump out a window (but the 4-foot fall wouldn't have done much to help...)! :chairshot:

Agree. I hate the ACC. Also, the price paid for 1st round upsets is potential garbage games in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I think there were more questionable seeds than in recent years too. Kentucky-Indiana shouldn't have been 2nd round game and there were others. Guess I'll root for Oklahoma.

I have enjoyed it. But there is no doubt that the games have not been good. The quality of play is also bad

No, but when 7 of 10 from Thurs-Sat are never in doubt it gets a tad boring IMHO.

Right the bracket makes things interesting . If it doesn't you could always make a friendly wager if your not looking to be bored.
And here comes Syracuse at least not making it boring for now .

On further thought today, I do hope UNC loses because Notre Dame basketball is clean AFAIK but academic fraud... yuck. But I am still not going to watch them play.

this may go down as the biggest choke job in the history of the NCAA tournament...is the run like 25-4?

It's not a choke job . It was the perfect set up by the great boheim . He called for the press at the right time .
Now does Virginia have a run ?

Is boheim the best coach to ever coach at the rac ? I know Calhoun has more national championships , but boheim has been to the final 4 probably just as much . And would have a second title if not for Keith smart .

Virginia...coaching and execution brutal down the stretch...so slow and methodical. no sense of urgency to get better shots and get shots up quickly...just unfathomably wretched
