this is not accurate...he took a depleted URI who had 7 wins when he left to 8 to 14 to 23 to 17 in a season he lost a NBA player to injury. And your total disregard for his clout in NJ recruiting and knowing the state is evident. He took Wagner to 25-5 didnt make the NCAA that year and left to go to URI...the hate on this board is stunning, we wont be getting any other qualified candidates. The other choice might be the Stony Brook guy
BAC, look at the whole picture at both RI and Wagner, Danny did a pretty good job at both places but not the major rebuild jobs you're trying to making it look like.
Deane had a disastor year 5-26 that got him fired at Wagner and his body of work during his time there wasn't no great shakes, but 2 years before he was let go the Seahawks were 23-8 and second in the Northeast Conference with a 15-3 record than fell to 16-14 before the season that got him fired.
Baron had four straight 20 or move win seasons and the season before that streak started, he won 19.
So the Rams weren't as inept as you make them out to be when Danny took over.
Hurley just had more upside as a HC there than Baron was and that's why he's a good candidate for the RU HC position .
The other choice might be from Iona or that Stony Brook guy, but don't forget the GW HC might be in the picture as well .
Just that Hobbs probably will have a harder time to convince ML to come to RU than he would
have to talk DH into it.
I'm looking at the St Bonnie's guy as the sleeper in the coaching search if plan B needs to be used
because Danny and/or Mike won't touch the job..
