Just saw him in the background while the Pirates coach Willard was being interviewed on the post game show. He was congratulating one of the Seton Hall players.

He was at MSG, Manhattan College is right there. Maybe a late night meeting with Coach Steve Masielo and his agent?
A poster actually whined about this in another thread and, bottom line, it makes sense that he was in the city having a lunch or dinner with a prospective candidate.
Hobbs was also at MSG Friday Night for the SHU - Xavier game.
I saw him.
He sat across from the Xavier bench and stayed till the end of the game.
Very easily could have met with several A-10 coaches who are playing their tourney in Barclays in Brooklyn as well...

Maybe we just have an AD who likes basketball and has an emotional investment in the success of a bunch of people he worked and associated with for many years. That would be okay too.
FYI, the player he was talking to was Braeden Anderson, who is currently enrolled in the law school (where Hobbs was the Dean).
Last night was the most tangible moment of success as a sports administrator that Hobbs has had up to this point; hopefully it gives him more confidence.
