Last home game of the year. Senior Day. Losing steak on the line. How about giving away every ticket that the RAC has to make it sold out and root these kids onto a win. I could give 2 craps at this point that I had to pay for them if it would help fill the RAC and help the team. Who's in?????

You could do that and still only have 5000 in the building. Have to bus people there. Not a hot ticket

I think you can if you started early and gave them out to every high school and rec basketball team in the area

Agree that we should try to fill the RAC even if we give the tickets away to HS programs.

here is the problem...you would have to literally pay people to come.

and its not like there will be many if any Minnesota fans at the game. The season will go quickly in the night with 4K in attendance

Me to my son a couple of weeks ago: Hey, we have tickets to the RU game today . Do you want to go?

Son: RU's basketball team is pretty bad this year, right?

Me back to my son: Yeah, I guess so. But we still have good seats.

Son: No thanks, not today.

RU isn't filling the RAC against Minnesota on March 5 no matter what they try.

It's a Saturday game and RU has always attracted good crowds on Saturdays. There will be roughly 5,000 people in the stands without giving tix away. If RU made a concerted effort, I think it could give away 3,000 tix to people interested in attending.

The first move would be to send an e-mail to season-ticket account holders of other sports (football, soccer, wrestling, etc.). Tell them they can have up to four free tix to the game. I think there would be a great response.
