Saw it yesterday .... very, very good. Whether you are a career comic book movie fan or first timer, you will love the action & comedy. Be warned, it is without a doubt a rated "R" movie, so think twice before bringing a young kid thinking its like the Avengers... it's not. Those who are Deadpool fans and love the X-Men Universe of heroes, there are so many in-between-the-lines jokes/comments, you will laugh your *** off. Ryan Reynolds is 20x better as Deadpool then as Green Lantern.
*** and no... i do not work for Marvel or Disney... just like the movie

The commercials made it look lame, so thanks for the reviews. I'll check it out when it starts streaming (legally).

Shocker. You are literally the first person I've seen who thinks it's lame.

Hey derp, I said the commercials made it look lame, not that it is lame. Also, Ryan Reynolds ... meh.

Learn to read and not be so butthurt.

Great movie and even my wife who hates sarcasm (go figure she has to listen to me daily) and potty humor loved it. Very well done!

Meh. Your trolling is weak. I now understand why 1/2 the board has you on ignore.

Trolling? By saying thanks for the review? I didn't think it was possible, but you're actually duller than your Ron Jeremy avatar would suggest (that would have been "cool" for a 16-year-old in 1995).

You should probably put me on ignore, too - it's the perfect solution for p#ssies who can't handle a little Internet banter.

I wonder if the OP wants to go ahead and give any spoilers like he did with The Force Awakens. He dropped a spoiler in a thread the morning I was going to see it.

Best Marvel movie ever IMO, and probably the 3rd best comic book movie after Dark Knight and DK Rises.

Just saw it yesterday with the wife and we both thought it was great. Without a doubt the gorriest comic based movie ever and funny!

Great movie , actually saw it twice with two different groups. Easily a solid 8/10 , not better then Force Awakens , cmon now.

This movie had the deck firmly stacked against it from the beginning , niche character and Reynolds off the green bomb known as Green Latern ( which I thought was o...k). This really surprised everyone , even optimistic estimates put gross at $60M, DP came in at $150 Domestic.

Amazing job , well done!

Saw it this morning. It was great! I loved the humor.

I see lots of Deadpool cosplayers at every anime and comic convention I go to, so this reminded me of all of them.

I have seen the previews and planned on watching it on Amazon but as a non comic book guy, I have to ask if he is "real"? I thought it was a spoof like space balls. Is he an actual comic book character?

I'm actually with FS on this one, thought the commercials were lame too. But all reviews rate the movie well so I am looking forward to seeing it now

Yes, he's a real comic character. He also knows that he's a comic character, and frequently talks directly to the reader - which make people around him think (realize) that he's crazy. The movie nailed the character perfectly.

Lots of fun, lots of laughs - great film. Not as good as Force Awakens (I may be biased), but will shatter more than its share of records on the R-rated side of the line as TFA did in the overall numbers.

Dude at the gym told me Deadpool is one of the few character that talks to the audience/comic reader , called

One of the few characters that can break the fourth wall. ( speaking to the audience /reader)

I can't believe nobody on this site has mentioned this yet, but...Gina is prominently featured in the movie.

The fore awakens sucked. No original thought at all. Just a better edited and acted version of A New Hope for fanservice. Highly disappointing.

I took my kids (ages 11-16) thinking it would be a typical Marvel movie, fairly family-friendly, even though I know that the Deadpool character is more edgy than other Marvel characters. I even read a review that completely missed the boat on whether it was family friendly. I was definitely uneasy with all the masturbation jokes, obscenities, nudity, etc. in the movie since I was there with my kids, so that detracted from my enjoyment. Still, I thought it was decent but not the best comic movie by a long shot. Not because of the obscenities or nudity, but because I just think that other movies (Avengers, Guardians, Dark Knight) are better. The best part of the movie was the scene after the credits.

Incidentally, there was at least one 6-7 year old in the theater and a couple in their late 70's. They were not amused.

Best Marvel movie is Captain America: Winter Soldier. Civil War might beat it though.
