The crash of Air India Flight 171 seconds after takeoff on June 12 killed all but one of the 242 people on board. An additional 29 people on the ground were also killed.

it could still be a software glitch. there isnt anything stopping the system to think the switches are cutoff when they aren't (false postive) if there is a fault in the hardware or software along with way, no way to really know without a cctv camera in the cockpit

The switches were manually moved to cut-off. Ten seconds later the other pilot (in a panic) moved them back to run. Pretty much confirmed to be a suicide/murder by the captain.

there is no confirmation that the were manually moved to cutoff. that is speculation and awfully convenient for boeing and big money.

the switches were recorded to have been set to cutoff within 1 second of each other. And normal manual operation usually takes 3 seconds or so making it a suspiciously convenient scapegoat to escape further scrutiny. When the Malaysia airlines went down, boeing and FAA tried to pull the same types of things. blaming pilots etc. its only after a couple more planes went down that they changed their tune.

Indian government lead the investigation and report. They are trying to hide some details due to the national disgrace of the suicide/murder. Very clear what happened.

It was the first ever hull loss of a 787-8. We're not talking about 737-MAX which were having major issues right off the assembly line, and started crashing within a year of service.

Everything, and I mean everything, is pointing to those switches being turned manually. The 787 has been in use going on 14 years now, with almost 1200 planes in service, and there has not been one problem reported about these switches.
