The Hobbs article from a few days ago mentioned Engineering studies in the Spring and groundbreaking by the end of the year. I hope it happens after a passing vote on Monday. A new facility could be completed in time for the Fall of 2017 Recruiting visits and early signing period.

I think Rutgers creates some buzz with the new state of the art facilities and signs a top 20 class.

It's an incredibly important step that can serve as a catalyst for all of the things that we want to achieve,'' Rutgers Athletics Director Patrick Hobbs told NJ Advance Media on Thursday after the bill passed through the Assembly panel.

"This is really Ray Lesniak's show so I don't want to take credit for it,'' Diegnan said. "But I agree with Ray 100 percent. Rutgers is our flagship school in the state of New Jersey and we have to do everything we can to improve the facilities there.

LET ME STOP....I'm being too positive.....lol

I stand corrected. He said in the ground within a year. I misread it as "in the ground by the end of the year".

That's just me being overly optimistic.

he said hopefully but without a definite date we wait..he is going to have raise a significant amount of money before he can set the timeline. I am confident he can.

Funniest thing I've read all year (granted, it's only been 7 days).
And clearly a troll post because you or no one believes that.

I don't know anything about construction, but, any idea how long something like this would take? When this conversation came up before I believe someone mentioned a 1 year construction timeframe. Do you remember that conversation?

AND....we still disagree on who the coach will be when shovels are in the ground.

Why when I read this do I get the feeling that this is going to be some kind of half-assed facility?
