EJ needs to talk to Daniels. Every time he gets away from passing first, he dribble drives know matter what and he usually hurts his team.

I don't think 31 from IU even broke a sweat tonight. Fouled out in what had to be 4 mins of game action. All size it seems, not fundys.

Nice comebacks this game, multiple times - just not enough depth and talent to beat IU, assuming we don't have a miracle at the end.
its sad really. We played well. I wish I could say help is on the way. I guess it is with Freeman coming back soon (hopefully) but our empty recruiting class right now is looming very large.

He should make a tape of his drives. He either makes a nice pass for an easy shot or puts up a prayer with 2 guys in his face. Needs to know where his guys are before he leaves the floor.

Doorson, Diallo, Freeman, Johnson, and hopefully Levitch

That's twice we missed rebounds on missed FTs and that last one was inexcusable, as IU only had 2 guys on the blocks.

Ugh Daniels. Ok re-recruit Corey and let's get healthy and some shooting pieces next year. And oh yeah, a medical redshirt for Freeman.

oh well, could've been down 72-67 if Grier had made his FT and then should've had the ball down 5 on the two missed FTs, but the missed rebound killed that - just imagine if Sanders had hit his trey then to cut it to 2?

I can't stand watching Bishop Daniels. I don't care who you put on the floor, but someone has to get his minutes. He plays out there with no purpose and is a turnover machine..

When we get more guys back and Daniels starts playing playground ball, the only way for him to learn is to bench him until he gets it.

For a Senior Daniels is the worst. I don't see him as a good player. If not for his athletic ability, he brings very little to the table.

Sanders is special. You can see what he has in him, and he keeps it throttled down to play team ball. I really like this kid. Who wouldn't want to come and play with him?

We looked like a legitimate team at least.

No more than Mike Williams...guy can't hit a freaking bucket. Other than hustle plays he gives us nothing. I'd rather play Daniels.
Agree. Go back on the thread a bit and you'll see my comments and others about Williams. He is NOT a Power 5 kid. He was recruited to shoot and he can't hit two's never mind three's.

You can't allow almost 80 points and expect to win....We played well offensively, 10-11 from FT, got 23 TO's from a sloppy Indiana team and shot 43% from field. I'd take half of those stats the rest of the season if you let me.

The difference between a game like this is playing better defense. Rebounding is going to be challenging without size and Freeman, but I liked what we got out of Grier now 2 games in a row. Lewis contributed and yes, Williams was off today, but we survived it and played well.

Defense, defense is the key....somehow we have to maintain this better shooting while slowing the tempo against a high powered shooting team like IU. I still don't know how good Indiana is, despite their win here today. I just feel like they play like us, just with better players and talent. Crean is definitely not going to survive or satisfy fans with a 7 point win at RU, when they are double-digit favorites.

Grier is giving us what Nigel Johnson might or can likely contribute to our roster next year. It's going to be interesting to see what recruiting can bring in and can we find a defensive first rebounder that can box out and doesn't need the ball to score.

Without Freeman and Doorson, it's going to be very difficult to win a B1G game.

We lack size with the 3 bigs hurt and it is clearly evident on the floor. I'll take Williams over Daniels any day for the pure fact that Williams at least adds D and rebounding. I do like the emergence of Sanders, Grier and Laurent. If Freeman wasn't hurt, we win that game.

We aren't winning big ten games with our injuries at the 4 and 5 spot

It's about four pieces sanders Laurent Williams and foreman

Redshirt all three big guys

And find a clone of JUCO Jerome Coleman
What you're describing would actually get us on the bubble of the NCAA's tournament. I actually like the idea of redshirting the big guys as long as Corey is patient and willing to stick around.

Williams is not a piece. Wishing it comes true will not make it fact.
