Its different because the guys are on the bench. Its not like the players on the court are acting out skits after making a shot. Players on the sideline can do whatever they want after their team scores a touchdown.

They are sometimes within a foot of the opposing player. They are sometimes on the court. At the RAC they will be on the court as there is little room between the bench and the court. If i am a player running back on D and they are on the court within arms length of where I am running I'd shove them.

Do you watch the NFL much ?

Check out what happens after TD's , Int's , Sacks-----nobody complaining about that stuff and many of the players involved are black.

Who is Monmouth's coach and what is his resume like? He seems to have instilled a lot of spirit and enthusiasm into what was really a minor-league program and fan base. We could use someone like that here, especially where the students are concerned.

I caught scattered minutes of their game at GU last night while the programs I was watching were on ads and was impressed by their team. They never let up after gaining a double-digit lead.

Hypothetical question....

With 4 minutes left Monmouth calls a TO after a RU 12-0 run puts us up by 11.

As Rutgers goes to its bench Corey sanders waves his arms like a hawk. Mike Williams takes his pretend shot gun and shoots at Corey. Corey then falls to the ground.

Is this OK? Does it get a T? How do Monmouth players react?

I wonder what Monmouth will cook up for us...maybe after they go up by 20 they will take naps on the sidelines. Keep it low key.

And I agree...its been a LONG time since basketball was FUN on the Banks
full arena..swagger and fun
it was last done during the Waters years
