Is he in Cbus or is he at Rutgers. One of the things about Franklin that most impressed me was how visible and active he was during his first few days on campus. To his credit, he was also crafty enough to have it well publicized and recorded. Dude was everywhere and invited someone to shadow him for a day. He got to the office at 4:00 am and left at like 11:00 at night. I only say this because I am hoping that is what Ash will be doing. One of the benefits of hiring a young, inexperienced guy is that this is his shot. Hopefully he is energetic and working his arse off for you guys.

Be shocked if he isn't at the RAC for the wrestling match. Has he been visible anywhere else as of yet? TIA

He is in Columbus for the weekend. Not sure when he makes it back to RU.

With the dead period starting Sunday, where he is located makes little difference.

From what we can gather, he is a very hard worker but not a showman like Franklin. If he succeeds, it will be in the D'Antoni mold...not Franklin

This. People really need to start paying attention. Guy is probably seeing his family for the 1st time in a week, celebrating his new job for maybe 24-hours, after spending the last 5 days visiting recruits and trying to put the foundation of his program together - probably hardly sleeping - so give him a f*cking break.

He's coaching a team that won a national title and is playing ND in the Fiesta Bowl. Maybe Franklin should spend less time propping up his image and more time learning to be an average coach.

Haha - the move by Franklin was great pub for him and the program. Say what you want about the guy but he works his *** off and is very involved in the community.

His OC hire will say a lot. I'm really hoping for Moorhead because he is an Xs and Os guy first. That will free up time for Franklin to do what he does best. Quite frankly, I don't care if he can coach or not as long as he surrounds himself with people who can.

Not to mention we have a retarded Penn State fan comparing Franklin to our new HC. Why do you care. Go away.

As a poster above mentioned, he's doing an in home tomorrow and will be at the meeting Monday. He or the ST Coach have had face to face with 4-5 recruits and spoken to others on the phone. He can only have 1 in home visit. It appears he's saving most of them till January when he has a full staff. He's visible where it matters most right now.

OSU is not playing for national championship. Could accept Ash coaching Fiesta game but now with GS hire not so much. Meyer has a co-OC. Let him coach. Meyer could have made this hire after Fiesta game. GS had no where to go. Whatever.

I just checked and at this very moment, he's at some motel suite, in the Jacuzzi tub with some hookers and an orangatan, blow-heaped mirror off to the side. Reports are that he's been singing "I'm rich, I'm rich, I ain't recruitin, *****. Gots me my monies and my hooker honeys. And blow to scratch that itch."

So yeah. I don't think we'll be hearing much from him until tomorrow. At least.

That horse is dead.
Stop beating it.
People keep saying it as if Ash will change his mind.

Sorry but thought it was a poor mistake in judgment from the very beginning. Now with Schiano there its just downright weird. Don't be stubborn like our ex-coach.

It worked for Flood to surround himself until this year. It will hit Franklin once a bad season comes and he will be out of Happy Valley.

He's in Cbus but scheduled to return to meet recruits tomorrow. He's also scheduled to attend the NJFCA on Monday night to meet 40-50 HS coaches in person. He's visible alright!
If anyone on this board is going to this would be great to get a summary of this meeting!

Someone has to be there to show Greg where to get his coffee in the morning and where the best men's room is.
